Does it matter where you place the knot at on your neck with full suspension hanging? I know that in order to make it as painless/fast as possible, you are supposed to compress the carotid artery, but I can't seem to do that, so I'm trying to accept that it's going to be really painful. I just worry that I will go through an excruciating amount of pain and end up not dying, just hanging there in a lot of pain for many many hours until someone finds me, and I think that is why I can never get myself to kick the ladder. So, assuming that pain isn't an issue, will death occur regardless of where you place the knot?

Nah, I would consider practicing first. You have to be able to compress the cartroid artery or your head will feel like it's about to blow. You will also most likely faint later on if you place it in the wrong place. Practice first, it's worth it. (You can do this by pressing down on your cartroid arterys and fainting)

Death would probably occur anyways if it was in the wrong place, but probably after 45min-1hr+. I imagine SI would probably kick in though because you faint later.

With full suspension, sure youd die either way, but seriously please at the very least if youre gonna do it, do it properly and compress the cartroid artery, otherwise it will be very long and painful

I practised the knot of the rope to see how it closes in the kneck and i see that it slides but the front part of the rope ,the one that is on larynx, doesnt move at all making the knot to close but to turn giving me an unpleasnt feeling because the knot ends up being at the left part of my kneck instead of being exactly at the back . Any idea how to fix this?

If the slip knot is behind either ear and positioned so when it tightens, it will pull toward the rear, it will apply even pressure across all arteries. That gets the fastest pass-out. That is the goal.

Depends on what your objective is. There are a list of known drop dead heights (made by the British) that are guaranteed to snap your neck so you die instantly. Any lower you suffocate, any higher you lose your head. As for the knot, it should go to the back of your neck

Long drop has very stringent requirements.
A large, high quality rope to survive the shock when you reach the bottom.
Something very strong to anchor the rope.
Correct drop distance calculations based on your build and weight.
A hangman's noose breaks your neck. It really does not tighten. If you do not setup correctly, you could just hang there bruised in a fixed loop. You will die eventually.
Read the threads and do full in a much easier way. You are not making a movie...
