Help Does it count if I'm a man

My friend groped me around 3 years ago and only now am I being affected by it. I'm not sure if what they did even counts as groping. I don't think it was sexually charged either. It felt sexual. Someone else was there and she just watched while it happened, so maybe it looked fine from an outside perspective?

I'm thinking I'm just overreacting but it's hard to say when you're basically scrubbing off your skin in the shower and feeling gross all the time. I don't think I've ever been full on raped and if I have I'll never remember it.

this is a very common feeling among people who have experienced SA (doubting, feeling like it wasn't real, being unsure, etc.) , and if you're feeling this way it means you are a victim. sexual assault happens to men as well, and i'm so so sorry this happened to you. im obviously not a professional but if you need someone to talk to, feel free to reach out to me <3

Yes, it counts. And if an outside observer doesn't react it doesn't mean it's "fine", it might be that they're scared to interrupt/confused/anything else. Also if something "looks" fine for an outside observer doesn't mean it's ok.
SA happens to men too. And you could feel uncomfortable in that situation. I'm really sorry you had to get through this.
