An update on the OFCOM situation: As you know, censorship around the world has been ramping up at an alarming pace. OFCOM, the UK’s communications regulator, has singled out our community, demanding compliance with their Online Safety Act despite our minimal UK presence. This is a blatant overreach, and they have been sending letters pressuring us to comply with their censorship agenda.
Our platform is already blocked by many UK ISPs, yet they continue their attempts to stifle free speech. Standing up to this kind of regulatory overreach requires lots of resources to maintain our infrastructure and fight back against these unjust demands. If you value our community and want to support us during this time, we would greatly appreciate any and all donations.
ctb tomorrow night. I've made peace with my decision but I hate that other people's lives are going to be affected. I've tried to hold on for really long bc of this but I'm at my wit's end. Am I a shitty person for ctb?

I don't think many people CTB to deliberately hurt others. It's the last thing most of us want. Personally, no, I don't think it's shitty. It's more a desperate act when nothing else seems feasible. It's just this awful consequence that it could make other people suffer. I think it's certainly something we should consider but that might not be enough to outweigh what some people are going through.
The sad thing is the lack of understading I think- if you were them, would you be better at letting you go? I expect so- because you know what you're going through. That's why I think it's so tragic we don't feel able to talk about how much we're struggling in order to avoid very heavy handed responses.
If one wants to die on their own terms then that's their personal decision, we all have a right to die, we never consented to this existence in the first place and aren't obligated to continue.

If you live a long life, have children and grandchildren ultimately when your time comes to exit this world it will affect those close to you, to choose to leave early in the majority of cases will also affect someone either way there is nothing shitty about it, it's simply a fact but as I say before all the responses chip in stating nobody will be affected my my death , in the majority of cases someone will be affected in some way, no need to feel shitty about the inevitable.
You're not a shitty person, not at all. You're just experiencing more pain that you can endure.
The sheer fact that you think about other people's lives being affected means that you care about others, and caring about others is the opposite of being shitty.
Any mental health professional would tell you the same. Many famous people who decide to leave are described as being fun, loving and caring.
They just reach a point where they feel they have no other choice. Think about that and don't be too harsh on yourself.
Sending love your way whatever you decide to do

Definitely not shitty. Kinda sad that some of us here didnt get to know you that well, but when you gotta go, you gotta go.
Please know you are definitely not shitty.
Not really. The question one should ask is how it makes you a shitty person?
Wanting to CTB is human, even if not what we consider "normal" in nature. When you experience situations that become overwhelming, one can't help it but feel the only thing that would help is to die. That is not a bad thing, you're just expressing that it's overwhelming, and for some, dying is the thing that will no longer make you think or feel a thing anymore - because you won't exist. The thought brings peace to many of us. For the pro-lifers who claim it's selfish, are themselves selfish. After all, why would some other human have control over your bodily autonomy? Life is a choice.
I think it depends on the scenario. If you're a single mother, don't just kill yourself without making sure your kids are going to be looked after. It depends how your suicide will impact others. If you are responsible for another life you need to make sure their needs will be met after you ctb, otherwise it is selfish if your lack of planning ruins others lives.
