I developed IBS about 10 months ago, and it's made my life pretty much hell. It's by far the biggest contributor to my depression and suicidal thoughts (more like plans at this point lmao).

Anyone have advice for how to treat this cursed condition? I'm open to anything, I want to get better for my sake and the sake of my family.

Some foods trigger it, I sometimes get it, try eating smaller portioned meals, that's seemed to help me.

My sister's son has Krohn's disease. She has been looking into it for years.

One thing she strongly recommends is Vitamin D, in much higher doses than is normal
recommended, e.g. 5000 International Units.

Here is one study I found relating Vitamin D and IBS.
Here is a video about Vitamin D dosage.

Wishing you well...

You should try this exercise to loosen the Iliopsoas muscle. I have been doing it for a week and I think it's helping me.

I've had IBS for years and I take Imodium (An OTC medication) when it gets really bad. It works well for me but I do get a little sleepy when it kicks in. It obviously won't tackle the root cause of the problem, but it does offer some temporary relief.
