Discussion Does anyone else stress over what to do with all of their junk before CTB?

I've accumulated a lot of crap for a cramped city living space over the years. I'm not sure if it counts as hoarding, because I don't actually want to keep most of it. I used to sell things on Ebay as soon as it turned out it wasn't working out, but unfortunately life repeatedly got in the way and I've found myself lugging around more than I would care to have. I kind of hate the idea of leaving it behind and having someone else have to sort through it and deal with it for some reason. I'm wondering if anyone else has this issue and how they feel about it, how they plan to deal with it, or if they just don't care.

Don't judge me, I think my executive function has become severely impaired.

I care who it goes to. I'll never be able to make sure but for one I will try to have most of it donated to a charity.

I just don't care about it honestly. I'm ending my life anytime I damn well please and anything I leave behind will be someone else's problem.

yes I feel exactly the same way! I may not have as much stuff, but I want to downsize even more!

a lot of my problem is just needing to actually not be lazy and sell stuff or throw it out, and it's hard for me to throw out things that costed money to buy

i'd be happier with fewer things, and the stuff feels like a burden.

not really, when i'm ready to ctb i'm gonna give my stuff to all my closest friends, and probably my baby cousin since she's the only family member i care about

My opinion: CTBing is supposed to free from all issues and worries so I think no need to care much about it.

If it somehow matters, then just throwing it all away before CTBing will do. I want to get rid of valuable stuff and whatever pennies I will have left before CTBing so it's not used to send my body back (theoretically possible). I want to be cremated in the same area. I don't think I would change anyone's life with my pennies. I would donate if I had a lof of really good stuff.
It's not my priority but why not if it's easy to just throw it away.

CTBing doesn't make it hard - it frees. Nothing will matter after that. Earth is so small compared to the universe and caring about some stuff especially after CTBing is just not worth it.

You're absolutely right, it's kind of irrational. I'm not a believer in the afterlife, but I think I just have a lot of inner conflict about CTB and it leads to these nonsensical hangups.

It's just another headache chore. But would want to make it easier for my family to have all of my belongings sorted and the place clean to spare them the trouble postmortem.

No judgement at all. I don't have like. An excessive number of things. But I'm forever "meaning to declutter" without actually doing it. I do think/wonder about what I'm gonna do with my stuff should I ctb.

i own many things that mean a lot to me, and sometimes i wonder what will happen to them after i die, but since i have no control over that anyway, i try not to think about it too often.

Yes I think about this all time. I've been selling stuff online for months now. I'm selling stuff in person this weekend. I feel bad leaving a lot of stuff behind for others to deal with.
