Discussion Does anyone else do extensive research?

I watch a lot of suicide videos and death videos in general.
Death has always fascinated me , I was a mortician once after all.
But I do a lot of research on different methods and find myself stuck between full hanging amd jumping most days .

I will have the opportunity to attempt full suspension hanging in some months, and until then, I've been trying to research the method as thoroughly as possible to avoid any failure.

i'm overthinking everyday to find a peaceful method. maybe something which can happen at night when i'm asleep. i have severe anxiety and SN is maybe not for me. these 12-30mn waiting before death scares me a lot. i'm obsessed with N which i know is quite impossible to find, but i'm still hoping to find a little bottle or powder. i lost a lot of money with a scam but i was so desperate (i'm even more now) if i could find a trusted source i would spend a lot of money for it

I have always found that the more research I do, the harder it is to go do that method. The vast majority of methods don't need that much research, you just have to set it up and do it.

You hear stories all the time on the news of 12 or 13 year olds managing to kill themselves on the first attempt. Yet, I'm much older than that and couldn't even manage it on previous attempts even after extensive research.
