• Hey Guest,

We wanted to share a quick update with the community.

Our public expense ledger is now live, allowing anyone to see how donations are used to support the ongoing operation of the site.

Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

The people here are too wholesome for me and I don't want to annoy people any more with my ramblings on how much I love ripping open capillaries on my arm. News sites love to bring up the bogeyman of "self harm promotional media" yet I can't seem to really find it apart from some personal tumblr pages with self harm photos. Any websites on self harm that you don't have to be interested in recovering to talk on? I'm getting real sick of the media trying to dumb down the concept of self harm into 2 or 3 attributes and then go on about "oh it's complicated! people do it for all sorts of reasons but it's only really for emotion regulation and stress!"

Don't go on in the replies about how self harm is bad and how I should quit it. I know it's bad but I don't care, it's basically drugs to me at this point and I fucking love it.

There's #shtwt on twitter but there's a rampant groomer problem there + tons of minors

r/MadeofStyrofoam on reddit isn't pro-self-harm, but they are neutral. Other than that, maybe some discord servers?

I know there's a community lurking on there on discord but I'm paranoid of people leaking what I say on there and putting it on other servers I'm active on, or if I use an alt, somehow linking that account to my main one. Also I'm not really sure how to access them as you need like to know someone as a link cause there's no way websites like disboard are gonna show you the harmful stuff. Trust me I've tried: all that pops up are mental health recovery servers.

ooooooo elaborate
I'd rather not get into specifics, but a few years back I ran/co-ran a fairly well-known shtwt/edtwt server. The consequences still affects me (and probably others) to this day. Nobody in shtwt/edtwt communities cares about you or your problems. These spaces attract vulnerable people and (unsurprisingly) those looking to take advantage of them - and the people running the servers don't bother weeding out the latter; most of the time, they actively encourage it
