I got got question tho- how you yall watch gore and not be disturbed by it? The also there the why? I mean im asking cuz I cant stomach it..

The first time I ever saw a gore video was when I was a freshman in high school, so around 14-15 years old. A friend of mine sat me down on my computer one day and said "Watch this". He gave me no warning whatsoever as to what I was about to witness. It was 3 guys, 1 hammer. That day is burned into my brain forever, almost like a traumatizing event. Ever since then I've had a morbid curiosity or fascination with it. But also it's like a last resort to pass the time. I guess that's where 20 years of internet addiction has taken me.

A lot of it is actually disturbing to me, and I often feel bad for the people, but it's still interesting to see.

You could say that I watch gore content a little bit—though not the super-explicit stuff that shows people being chopped up piece by piece like cartel videos. What I tend to look at, at most, are bodycam recordings from law enforcement officers (like from LEOs), and then helmet-cam footage—say, the GoPros strapped to the heads of armed units—in documentaries about murder cases or warfare. I'm particularly drawn to material that has some connection to national or international law, or that involves firearms in some way

When it comes to the most notorious gore-related suicides worldwide, for me it's Ronnie McNutt at the top, and then that other guy who used a Saiga shotgun—his video's title was something like "1444" or "4444," though I can't quite recall exactly. The basic idea is it was a long-haired Russian dude who, as far as I remember, was maybe a college student or at least an ex-student. Honestly, I watch that kind of stuff purely for research purposes—especially the American police bodycam clips, as well as various Russia-Ukraine war recordings or older GWOT (Global War on Terror) footage. There's action, there's context, there's background information, and it's not just mindless killing like the cartel-style videos from South America. And one more thing on the subject of gore: why are there so many memes out there made from ISIS execution videos? And the craziest part is they're treated like jokes—people find them hilarious lol—though, of course, that last bit is said with all due respect

I can watch human gore real or movie. Doesn't bother me I love horror movies except for revenge porn movies and similar I find those a bit ridiculous. However I can't watch a movie when an animal especially a dog dies violently. I have to ff past it. Marley and me nearly did kill me and I had read the book. A dogs purpose series and a dogs way home were hard for me and they weren't violent. Great movies but so emotional.

Like anything I guess - once you see it enough times you get desensitised to it. The why for me is I guess curiosity with extremes. I watched someone get eaten by a tiger the other day. That was new for me. You don't see that anywhere else. So there's that novelty. Also an unfiltered look at the dark side of the world. And making me feel better for not being in a situation as bad as them.

In the worst phase of my depression I watched it, it worked to stimulate my brain. I watched everything man.. the worst ones were always the Mexican cartels (hors-concours, no doubt about it), but the Brazilian gangs weren't far behind. I find it curious what the state's disdain, inequality, poverty and underdeveloped mentality are capable of doing to a man, Mexico is a special case, the bastards sustain the world's biggest fucking power's narcotics market, that's only with a lot of "chest" on the part of the traffickers and criminals . Anyway, nowadays I don't watch it, but I don't avoid it, if it's a famous case or something, I'll watch it. I also like to watch gore and videos in general of criminals getting screwed.

Yes, I enjoy it, especially suicides and shootings. I'm dead serious when I say that when I'm deeply depressed, watching gore is like the only thing besides my dogs that can make me feel better. Yes, I know I'm fucked up lol, no need to tell me. But I've been like this for a long time, gore just never bothered me the same way it does for others. I watch something people label as being really awful, I watch it, and am wonder why people are so affected by it.
