That is, I'm afraid, too hard to tell.

I do think however, that killing Chávez would've proven detrimental to their agenda by this point. Turns out most of the current remaining junta seem too disorganised to even exert control over themselves, let alone receive orders from some foreign party.

Chávez was, in essence, a political mastermind. He knew how to soothe people's ears and minds into their eventual doom. That there is irreplaceable, mate.
