I changed a lot in my Dating profile the last Days. I wanted my friends to rate it and the criticized most of it. I asked a friend of mine to write a Bio for me because this Was the hardest part for me. Compared to me he had more success on Dating Apps. I became close to/in a short relationship with one woman though. He instead really disliked it when a woman on a date wanted to hold his hands and Touch him. I told him we have diametrical no touch Issues. Lol.

The last 4 weeks I had zero likes. Despite the fact I had my old profile where I had more likes and Matches in the past. He told me the last 4 weeks were also pretty rough for him and He had None Matches.

It could be I screwed the algorithm. Many women told me honestly that I look good. People compliment me for my clothes. Idk. I wasted money in the past for Dating Apps I think this was a mistake.

Do you think the main reason Dating Apps suck for many, is the greed of the companies behind them? Or is it the behavior and Different expectations from different genders? Women get harrassed and bombarded with dick pics. While many Men are frustrated and barely getting Matches. The irony is the men who get many Likes are often fuck boys and can choose between many.

No. Dating apps by design are basically corporatized, psychological war zones that perpetually weaponize gender and sexual identity.

Something that annoys me pretty much about dating apps. There seem to be many users who don't know what promotion/habilitation means in my native language. In German promotion has the sole meaning of having a PhD title. Nothing else.

And I am on one dating platform where like 50% of users claim to have a PhD title or being a professor (habilitation) becuase they don't get it which sort of annoys me.

Do it like this; no pics, when you sign up you send a few images and they get rated by other people (men and women) and you get a score based on that. Per day/week you get an amount of points, and the higher you invest the better looking the people you get offered are. But you don't get to see who they are, only their description. Then you can try matching with them or whatever.

Fun fact, but I read some research months ago that found that having a Master's increased your chances of getting a match.

I'm not sure such a thing is possible because it's so far from how people (especially women) naturally find partners, ie. usually after getting to know the person first in a non-romantic scenario. For me I can't become attracted to a man unless I've known him in a group setting for a while (at least a month but sometimes more) and then later developed an emotional link with him. I think there are a ton of people who are also like this but it's impossible to achieve with dating apps given the lack of a natural (unforced) group setting.

Dating apps made me much more depressed and completely destroyed my self esteem.

They market themselves as a solution and everything about them essentially promises getting dates, yet instead some of us just get endless rejection every day.

To make matters worse I later learned how the average woman (and attractive men) use the apps and it completely crushed me. They don't even cluck on the same tab I click on to swipe. Instead they just swipe on all the people who already liked them! I.e every single time they swipe right they're guaranteed a match!

All these people with endless dating options while I'd do anything just to hold hands for a bit for once in my life.
