Sometimes I stress eat and then I feel fat, other times I forget to eat or just have virtually no appetite. It's weird.

It's the same for me. Sometimes I stress eat, other times I completely lose my appetite or I feel like I don't deserve food so I let myself go hungry.

I'm the same way, usually a week of stress eating coincides with a week of 0 appetite and sometimes even a disgust for food.

I stress eat every day and it's caused me to gain probably 20 or 30kg over the last year. I hate how I look now but have no motivation to change it. Food gives me great comfort for the 5 minutes it lasts in front of me.

I eat whatever I want because I don't care. I do eat more when I'm stressed/depressed but luckily I have a good metabolism and I've never had to worry about gaining weight. Actually I would prefer to gain weight.

Yes. Because I love delicious food and I don't care about my physical aspect / health anymore. Food is one of the few things I still enjoy in my life. And I don't care about what others think or say about how I look.

I put yes that I feel fat, but if I could I'd also have voted that I don't care because I already have diabetes, so I might as well keep it going. Insert some cliche about how no matter how much I eat, I'll always still feel empty inside.

In one of my more comical ctb attempts seven years ago, I once tried to commit suicide by eating multiple whole sticks of butter thinking my arteries would immediately clog and I would die. It didn't work. I also do the stereotypical thing where I will eat whole tubs of ice cream in one sitting when I've felt severely upset.

Whenever I'm really sad I sometimes make it a point to order a lot of McDonalds, because I like to eat food that's as garbage as I am.

Incredibly, my weight has stayed about the same for a while now. (210-220 lbs). I'm still overweight but I guess I'm lucky in that regard though my diabetes means I'm still doomed there.

I lose weight when I'm stressed or depressed, in a big way.
Over the past 4/5 months I may have lost 2/3 stone.

I don't eat when sad. Probably going to get stoned so I can eat and make an ass of myself a bit more.

I have different reactions to varying levels of stress and depression

Average stress/depression: consistently overeat
Severe stress/depression: cannot eat at all

Been in the latter stages for awhile now. I'm already underweight, so I kinda look like a skeleton now. Just in time for Halloween.

"Forget"... I struggle with anorexia and not eating feels like I'm more in control. So if I'm extremely stressed out I restrict for days sometimes venturing into weeks. But it hasn't been that extreme in awhile due to being strictly watched and in recovery for the most part. ♡

I've been stress eating a lot lately. I didn't really do it much before. I hate how fat I am, but also don't have the willpower to change. I figure I'm done, I'm giving up, so what does it matter anymore?

I know exactly what you mean people point that out to me all the time, its so annoying. I bought a watch a while back, and sent a picture of it to my friend all he could say was how skinny my wrist is, ive lost even more weight since then though.

when i used to be in the gym and training it used to piss me right off!!!! you don't say that to a body builder its a pet hate. but i wouldn't say oh you've put loads of weight on to someone personally, so i feel the same about loosing weight.

I do look alot different though so i can understand people noticing, whether its right to point out i s another thing!!!

I suppose it depends how they point it out, personally I know I don't eat and am losing loads of weight so I always hate when people point it out. And if they do it loads then it gets annoying and sets me off. Guess everyone is different though

I mean i had mates that used to wind me up with it, and i knew why they were so i was ok with that.they would do it messing to wind me up.

some other people i knew pretty well, like a shop keeper mentioned it and i 'm like wtf. you think i haven't noticed. to me its not the 'thing ' to do comment on peoples weight. like i said i lost alot i was 15 stone, dunno what i am but it aint that and it aint muscle lol. i drink though so it keeps weight on. plus i do fuck all alday!!!

Its like as if you don't notice it yourself.......errrr i have eyes and mirrors. probably feel clothes getting loose/tight. no need to point it out, it doesn't help!

I don't forget to eat, I just don't want to eat at all. A big part of that is due to the medications I'm on though.

I've done 'hair of the dog' a few times myself. sometimes i'm like....i cannot deal with this!!!! I'm not advising as i don't want people becoming alcoholic, says the person who drinks every night!!!!

i used to think oh, should i point out this and that about them!!! i think people get too comfortable with you sometimes. like my mates, they did it totally to annoy me, not in an evil way though. the shop keeper, i mean i speak to him alot and go in the shop altime , talk about all sorts.

I think the thing with me is the way i looked, and come across. like i wouldn't be bothered about stuff like that 'maybe looking tough' you could say! it didn't actually bother me to the point that it would hurt/bother me..it was more annoying. but other people would be hurt ,take it badly if said to them. not something i have ever personally said to someone myself, i dont point peoples imperfections out no matter how small/ insignificant i think they are.(because they might be significant/ big deal to them)

Yeah. I likely have a mild to moderate version of Avoidant Restrictive Food Intake Disorder, present since early childhood, and have a complicated relationship with food because of it. (Lots of food insecurity surrounding not knowing when things would be offered that I could actually eat.) When I finally had unfettered access to "safe" foods, the stress eating began.

Under extreme stress, I'll often lose my appetite altogether... but most of the rest of the time food is the only thing that still feels good, or that I feel like I have any sort of appreciable control over. I mostly eat what I want when I want it, zaftig meatsack be damned.

My appetite basically disappears when I'm stressed/depressed. I must have lost a good 15-20 pounds over the last few weeks.

I havent had an appetite in years. Could be the meds I'm on... could be depression. I usually only eat 1 meal a day and maybe a snack later. You'd think I wouldn't be fat but I still manage to be like 30 pounds overweight with barely eating.
