yes and no. both. if that makes sense. I think that people all need to feel a sense that they are genuinely cared for and that's i guess the closest thing to love that i can understand.

Yes, but it does'nt happen to me. I am disabled, I never have a love, my Friends are tired of me. My mum has got a lot of problems, I haven't got any other family. I fell really alone.

It's the purest feeling that no one can understand or explain. So easy to fall in love, so hard to fall out of it. It's really a curse of humanity. I honestly believe everything wrong is done out of love. Hurting others to protect what you love. Is a paradox to explain everything emotionally that we can't explain

She left him. He claims he drove her away. They were together for five years and she left yet he still writes five years later with a trunk of memories and momentos left behind from their time together. The pin to enter his house is the time they met. Made an entire room dedicates to her memory. Her favorite color. Favorite place and the bed they uses to share.

Yes, it does exist...just like any other feeling exists.
But for me personally it would be too late anyhow to start anything which had romantic feelings involved.
All I can be thankful now that there were three people who loved me at one point in time. That I mattered enough to them is something I'll have as a memory.
But I'm not quite sure whether I ever felt the same or whether I only pretended to be in love to keep them by my side back then.
Sadly my emotional range seems a bit underdeveloped at times.
But for me personally it would be too late anyhow to start anything which had romantic feelings involved.

I've realized that existence is meaningless and I'm slowly turning into a nihilist. Nevertheless, I still believe in love, although I also believe true love is rare. I don't think I'll ever find it again and that's one of the reasons my life will end prematurely.

Real love, love with an "L", Love... that once in a lifetime rarity, if you find it- someone or something else will come along and destroy it. I know this from experience- my broken heart keeps trying to love again but as soon as i get close... nope, something screws right up.
I'm just about done.
But i do believe it exists.

As cynical and jaded as I think I sometimes might be, yes, I still do believe in love. Things would probably be easier if I didn't. I just don't know that I can allow myself to fall in love again or be loved. While love is a beautiful thing, it is also painful. It is a double-edged sword as I often refer to it as.

Also, yes it exists but not for everyone. I can see it, I can imagine it, but I've never had it. It's just another of life's cruel jokes to me.
We're assuming Hollywood style "happily ever after" style love first.
It's rare. Very rare. Not because it's reserved for some special "selected people", but because it's less love and more of an obsession, an unhealthy one at that. A person cannot be perfect enough to love and worship unconditionally like that for eternity.
Alright, how about normal love with the occasional fight?
That's definitely more doable.
You'd obviously have to work for it - prove to your interest you're worthy. The easiest analogy for the work I can think of right now is in internet, specifically, modern internet - THC handshakes: both parties do their part, prove they're there for each other. Games like stardew valley make it look way too easy: grow a massive field of pumpkins, feed abigail a pumpkin every day for a week (I think), and then she's ready for marriage and producing a child.
I haven't played stardew, I don't remember if there are children.
Real love is a pain in the ass - there's the first date, there's the few dates after to get comfortable with each other, there's the romantic date period, there's the casual dating (all my info on this comes from movies and cheesy lovey-dovey webcomics, for the record), you can't just force-feed your love interest pumpkins.

Imo there are a few problems that come with it though:
1) You make yourself vulnerable if you fall in love. If you're unlucky you can easily get hurt and that scares people or so many are too wary to even try or completely gave up on it
2) Meeting someone that is right is really, really hard
3) Love requires work and effort. Many people don't want to do that, rather feel like they deserve to be spoiled or leave when problems start. Many have been hurt before and rather give up than work for it. It's human nature to take the easy (wrong) approach
If you are lucky enough to find it and it's given back in an equal amount, then oh boy, you feel like you can move mountains. It's like a drug that brings the best out of you

Not in the way people think it does. The chemical reactions are there, but whether it actually works as a healthy relationship is down to the people involved, and most people don't know how to have a healthy relationship. It definitely doesn't exist in the way it's portrayed in media.
My view of love is summed up into one beautiful Euro dance track of the 90s.
