I love them since I was a little girl.

I love spending time sitting down somewhere and watching the stars above my head. I know this might sound crazy and sort of silly, but I talk to them about what's happening in my life just like talking to a friend. For example I talk to Orion whenever I see him in the night sky. I believe in horoscopes/astrology too. I know it's not definite but very fascinating in a way.

I'm Sagittarius btw. :)

I love them but rarely get to see them because of light pollution.

I love stars! I've always wanted a telescope.
It's been so long since I've actually spent time to look up at the sky and admire the stars.
I want to go outside now and just look at stars.

Now that I think about it, I don't think the stars shine as brightly as they used to anymore.
I used to be able to just walk around at night and automatically look at the stars without thinking cause they were so bright and abundant...
Either my eye sight has gotten worse, or it's the pollution.

Sometimes I open my window at night and gaze into the sky. It's always so interesting to think about what is really concealed in the vast darkness.

I remember when I was taking an astronomy class in college, we students in the class went with our professor one night into the San Gabriel Mountains, where light pollution was not as pervasive. How wonderful it was! And also one night, when my mother, brother and I were travelling by car in the desert (returning home from a weekend in Laughlin, Nevada), there were so many, so many stars. We had to stop and look at the stars. It was just so lovely. It is a shame that there is so much light pollution in Southern California. I think Heaven will have available a beautiful night sky. I certainly hope so.

Hello from a Scorpio :) I think stars are beautiful, but I live in a big city so I can't see shit at night lmao. I would like to go and stargaze at least once, but I don't think I'll ever have the means to.

...I'm getting off-topic but this is making me realize that there are many sights that I'd love to see in the world (aurora borealis is something else that I can think of), but I'll never get the chance to. ...Well, I guess that's no surprise. That's just how life is.

Yes, but I'm more drawn to the moon lately. Last month venus was really bright sitting on the lower edge of the moon. Pretty cool I thought

I used to have a telescope but I accidentally broke it when I was little :'(

And I feel the same too, the sky used be much more clear than it is now. Poor earth.

Do you have a favourite constellation?

When I took that astronomy class in college, I did a project on the Boötes constellation.

Sometimes I get lost in my own thoughts and fantasies when looking at the night sky. I do that while walking as well...have bumped into random people in the street a few times lol.

Awwww that sounds AMAZING! To be honest I haven't really seen the milky way and I really wish to get to see it for once in lifetime. And I also wish to become a star in the sky after I pass away, if there's an option. :)

I've been to Iceland once for northern lights last November. Unfortunately the weather condition wasn't good enough, we only got to see a bit of the green floating in the frozen night. Was still amazing though! I think we should all go have a stargazing road trip before we die lol.

Ugh I think I missed that. I like the moon too but only when I'm not doing night photography as it could be a "light pollution" which is really no fun lol.

I'm not super into astrology as a predictor of personality or destiny, but I love the lore around different celestial bodies that's arisen from all the different astronomical cultures in the world. I also think they're visually and chemically very interesting. I do wish I could have taken the astronomy elective in my degree, but one of the big projects was doing a moon chart at a specific time of year that was bad for me, and if you couldn't be there at that time of the year, you failed.

I desperately envy my ancestors for their ability to look into the brilliant night sky and find guidance in it. Not just navigation but in the sense of forming beliefs about the world - I still feel a connection to my ancestors through both the age of the light in the sky and the stories they've left in it.

One of the best nights I've ever had was sleeping on hard, cold ground out in the middle of nowhere, looking up into a night sky that had almost no light pollution. Nights out in the country can be lonely - deep shadows, little light - but there was so much starlight I felt comforted.

And like many of you, the northern lights are something I'd like to see before I die. Aurora australis is more viable, and one of the best dreams I've ever had was about seeing an aurora while being held.

My fiance and I once drove to the middle of nowhere and saw the Milky Way above a lake. The sky was like a dark velvet cloth, and the stars against it glittered more than the most precious diamonds! It was one of the most beautiful things I have ever seen, and I have literally seen so many things
