Not sure if it counts but secondary adrenal insufficiency aka secondary Addison's disease. Meds three times a day but I never take them, been told it can have an affect on mental health but really I haven't a clue how much effect it's had on me. It may have ruined my life without me really knowing.

Jackpot? As if I'll die from them you mean? No, not anytime soon anyway. Just a lot of pain. Unless I have a seizure whist driving and crash or something at a high speed (don't really want to go that way; I could hurt someone else).

Severe damage to my knee (ligaments are gone, nerve damage, and a bone spur). Chronic migraines and cluster headaches. That's the biggie. I've got others but they are minor by comparison.

I don't think a sprained ankle is chronic btw...

It's been over half a year since I got injured and it still hurts a lot even though I've gone through rehab for weeks. I guess it's becoming chronic.

The body is just a prison that deteriorates as we age. So sad.

Oddly, that's how they found the extent of my knee damage.

I got hurt 9 years ago. Doc thought I sprained me knee. Did nothing. 5 years later, a physio felt the massive spur. Then 2 years later, I tripped sprained my ankle and when 6 months passed and it wasn't right, I went to the US and had a full workup.. my leg from knee to hip was fucked beyond repair

Sad part is I'm only 30 and the major accident happened when I was 21. Only have known the extent of the damage for 2 years.

Migraines and my insomnia are life long shot have made me feel 30+ years older than I am.

Yewh honestly deterioration is guaranteed for most but for some even comes younger. I've started noticing lots of pains that are only set to get worse, random growths that I need invasive surgery for, lifelong hormone illness and I'm not even past my mid 20s. Fuck this existence.

For me the hardest part is that I don't see myself as having a chronic injury. I'm in pain all the time and I acknowledge that. But like my partner (ex?) has chronic injuries like I do but I always feel like I'm being weak and pathetic if I'm struggling. But when she struggles I see someone strong and brave. It's weird...

Thank you but it is partially my fault. The doctors fucked up a lot too.

I have migraines 10x a month and it is hell.
I can't even begin the imagine the pain of a cluster headache.

I've had migraines since I was 8 (they run in my family pretty strong down my mom's side...just about everyone gets them) and a few cluster headaches and I'd take a thousand migraines over a cluster headache any day. If I'd had the means to CTB at the point of my first one I probably would have. Or stabbed myself in the eye, it probably would have hurt less.:(

are cluster headaches much, much worse than migraines?
How long do they last?
I can't imagine anything being worse than a severe migraine but maybe I am just too naive because I have never had a cluster headache: vomiting every 10 mins, feeling like someone is stabbing me in the eye, the neverending pulsing and throbbing...
you are really brave for enduring this
