I was wondering because I haven't had a job in a while and I was wanting to see if others can relate

Yeah, I'm employed. Never have been unemployed in fact, had to work while others rested and had breaks back in school, too.

Im trying but it's so hard :( I feel like a loser but im trying to not feel bad because i still live with my parents and they don't want me to work too hard they just care about my school, but I really want to save up for stuff to gtfo and see the world and buy CTB equipment and all that jazz

I have worked all my life, started part time at 14 while at school and never stopped. I am a grafter.

I am in a job that pays well but I am trapped in it, I am surrounded by family who think that because I am earning good money I have an obligation to support them. I feel like a donkey that is worked to the bone.

When I tried to CTB those in the know were very concerned, but not because they were concerned for my welfare, it was more about my monthly pay.

I think about quitting the job and taking off, but my family would see that as selfish.

Now, all I could get realistically would be a min-wage job. Therefore, I have no job bc I reject the idea of becoming a wage-slave just to make a CEO richer.

No. I am too sick. It started as mentally, but now physically too.

My friend even comment on it, my heart not beating as hard as it should. If I am gone in the next <9 months, not having an income is why. It is not my time yet but I have been living in hell for years. I am physically sick because I can't afford to eat. Food banks often give not enough and expired food. I got expired chocolate milk last month and it made me really upset because I don't even like chocolate milk but I was hungry and it fucking poisoned me LOL tasted sour . Nasty. The constant stress has destroyed my heart, I often wonder if I even need to ctb because I'll probably be gone in a few years anyway. But that's what makes me want to do it to some degree.

I also miss talking to people. Having a job was good for that. I only have two friends now, everyone else left lol. I would like to work if someone would accommodate my condition, but I couldn't get a job before the physical issues.

I am the breadwinner in my household. I have to have a job or we starve. I hate my career though. Luckily I have a pretty casual boss and decent enough benefits that I can stand to keep at it.

I do, and it's the bane of my existence. I've been at my current job for almost two years now and I absolutely hate it. I dread going to work every day.

I feel like I'm stuck in this Groundhog Day reality where it's like I am reliving the exact same day, every single day (sparing the weekends, but even they aren't much different). Every day I have to drag myself to work. I see the exact same people every day. I do the exact same monotonous things every day. Each day bleeds into the next. It's the same slog, over and over and over again. Every day I come home feeling exhausted and all I can do is sit in front of my computer until I fall asleep. It feels like some kind of Hellish purgatory I'm stuck in and perhaps dying is the only feasible way out.

I just wanted to add because I didn't explain for myself. The reason I don't work is because I have really bad social/general anxiety where it is hard to leave the house and do things. It's borderline agoraphobia but I do things to try and help it now but I'm still not in a good spot.

I don't know why I became like this. By the time I was twelve I was going everywhere around the city on my bike and by CTA and now I'm 21 and I'm afraid of going to the store by myself. I used to be so outgoing and would talk to random people around the city.

I'm lucky to have parents who support me but it's only 4 more years until I am off their insurance. And even though i know I could I don't want to live in with them forever. It sucks being the way I am and it adds to my depression so much.

Nope. I couldn't handle school at all so i wouldn't be able to handle being in a work environment and the stress of failure and potential boredom of it.

My grades are already shit. I'm afraid that, if I take up a job, they'll get even worse. Despite that, I'm considering looking into a part-time job because a family member is currently in debt (and they're the one responsible for paying off the majority of the bills), so... yeah...
