Do you ever feel like the whale from Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy?

He poofs into existence. As he falls from the sky he wonders what everything is. Then he smashes into the ground dying forever.

I will jump one day and contemplate the same thing as I crash to the earth.

Wasn't he a flower bin for a while? Or it was something else in the book?

I love those books, the irony a humour is just my kind of jokes. Also it has some existencialist tint (for example your line with the whale) and even I laugh something inside me tells me "This isn't that funny, it"s true."

My favorite is the beggining of the first book (I think):

In the beggining the universe was created. This made a lot of people very angry and has been widely regarded as a bad move.

Hey this gives me an excuse to vent about SS removing one of my posts this week. In the thread "What is the point of life?", I'd said 42, and it got removed; they claimed it derailed the thread and was irrelevant to the thread! Either the moderators here have never read the Hitch-hikers guide to the galaxy, or they've got no sense of humour!

They're unread illiterates. A solid understanding of literature is a prerequisite to ctb. This quote from Frankenstein is beautiful, "The cup of life was poisoned forever, and although the sun shone upon me, as upon the happy and gay of heart, I saw around me nothing but a dense and frightful darkness, penetrated by no light but the glimmer of two eyes that glared upon me."
