Discussion Do you also do the finger pistol and imagine to blow your brain out?

I do this quite regularly. I do this finger pistol, point to my temple and then pull off. Or I point in my mouth knowing the chances to fuck it up is lower. I heard horror stories of videos where people survived shooting for temple.

Shooting myself was never a possible choice for me. Maybe if I lived in the US. I still would prefer SN.

There is this David Foster Wallace quote I often think about.
"This, like many clichés, so lame and unexciting on the surface, actually expresses a great and terrible truth. It is not the least bit coincidental that adults who commit suicide with firearms almost always shoot themselves in: the head. They shoot the terrible master. Do people aim for the brain because they want to kill the thing that tortures them the most?

The more desperate I am the more often do I do this finger pistol. It is like imagining to face death. I also say things like "I won't be alive in 2 years" which gave me the idea for the poll.

I do it pretty often, but especially when some random thought just gets in my head which I don't want to think about.

My head just feels heavy constantly and when a thought passes by it actually feels like physical pain. So fantasizing about shooting yourself in the head does make sense.
