I personally feel like the mainstream views towards voluntary death and euthanasia push me further towards the edge. I'm not sure how many others here share this experience but was curious so I figured I'd ask. For example, in my experience, when a loved one empathizes with me and validates how I feel, I have noticed that it motivates me to last longer as a portion of the pressure/obligation is seemingly lifted when the guilt dissipates.
Just as easily as true empathy for my situation makes me feel a little less pressure, it can be extremely distressing being challenged on my autonomy. I've noticed in the last few weeks, there have been instances of this where I became very distressed and experienced a sense of urgency towards dying. Does anyone else relate?
