• Hey Guest,

We wanted to share a quick update with the community.

Our public expense ledger is now live, allowing anyone to see how donations are used to support the ongoing operation of the site.

Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

Do we know how many people have died by suicide associated with this site.

I am always curious about the disappearance of people here. Have they moved on or are they dead?

Do newer members ctb more than older ones

There's no way to possibly know. People could stop posting here because they move on or are dead [either CTB or even from natural causes]. Not to mention lurkers with no account who access the information here and use it to CTB.

I think it would be in poor taste to do metrics.

Yes, I have wondered about this as well; however, there are too many variables to know.

To partially answer your question.
* Some people lurk and ctb, or not. < Probably the biggest demographic. Most people don't make accounts.
* Some people become users and ctb quickly. < These are the more committed users imo, more interested in getting what they need as fast as possible/documenting stuff.
* Some people become users and go into recovery after a while. < I hope they have happy lives.
* Some people become users and stick around a bit longer, and then ctb after a year or few. < I am here. Mainly because I really want to talk to a few people, as it's all the social interaction I'll ever have in my life.
