Discussion Did anyone accidentally get pain on their left or right side of their throat when swallowing after attempting partial hanging?

It really FUCKING HURTS every time I swallow on my left side. I accidentally put TOO MUCH pressure on my left side felt it. It might've been a pop? Idk! But now all I know is that EVERY TIME I Swallow the left side of my throat hurts and Is sore!!! . It's tight below my ear and behind my tongue on my left side.

Has ANYONE EVER experienced this too? If so how LONG DID IT TAKE FOR THE PAIN TO GO AWAY?! .

I experienced this but received immediate medical attention. Strangulation can cause blood and heart issues, brain issues and all other sorts of stuff, even years down the line, even if it was brief. It's hard to say what exactly is causing your pain since the body is so complex, you should see a doctor (you can make up a story if you don't want to say how it happened).

I didn't attempt partial, but I was testing my noose, pulling the rope up by hand while the noose was around my neck.

I did get a similar injury, struggled to swallow for about 2 weeks or so, but I still feel the effect, or at least a bit if it, even through it has been a month.

Not on pain, but I still feel something when I swallow, on the right side of my throat, where the injury was. There is no pain though.

I personally didn't go to see a doctor cus I didn't want to get sent into a ward or something.

I saw a clinic doctor. It's just inflammation and I got a prescription for a Lidocaine patch and to take some ibuprofen and some advil.
