  • Hey Guest,

Today, OFCOM launched an official investigation into Sanctioned Suicide under the UK’s Online Safety Act. This has already made headlines across the UK.

This is a clear and unprecedented overreach by a foreign regulator against a U.S.-based platform. We reject this interference and will be defending the site’s existence and mission.

In addition to our public response, we are currently seeking legal representation to ensure the best possible defense in this matter. If you are a lawyer or know of one who may be able to assist, please contact us at [email protected].

I've thought about that, but then even people who are "successful" and contributed to progressing the world and reproduced, things that nature probably wants...have also CTB.

Maybe they just weed out people who have that mental illness? I don't know. But that would deviate from the idea that nature selfishly just wants to progress and survive in it of itself if it wants to weed out people that could help it.

I think there's either a God that just created free will and decided not to intervene at all or this is all just random and just pure luck. I went down a spiral for a while thinking nature just wanted to get rid of me but when you look at other people who have committed suicide and some that haven't that are suffering or in poverty or aren't contributing to the world and some of those people are even happy to be here...I'm not sure it totally makes sense. I met this girl who has some learning and intellectual disabilities who works at McDonalds, she's 36, lives with her mom and really doesn't have any money, has to borrow from her mom half the time...but she's profoundly happy. That doesn't really jive with nature wanting to get rid of certain people.

I would say that it is very much determined by quality of life and religious beliefs or atheistic beliefs. People who are very devoted to practice of their religion commit suicide far less frequently than people who belive that suffering ends with death.

Yes and no. I think many times it also just comes down to how much a person can truly handle. That's why it happens with some religious people as well. We are all human, and I think every human has a breaking point.

I have thought about this a lot. The decision of ctb should be respected and not be frowned upon. Even if most people want to live their life to the fullest and die of ald age, society should support the decision of others to end their lifes whenever they want. Shouldn't everyone be let to decide when it's their time to go? When they think they are not getting anything out of this life anymore?
