I'm surprised to see a few oldies here, since I had anticipated this site had become a "circuit" for youth, or at least that's what journos would have you believe (with a few sheepherders in the mix)... I myself am forty-seven, of course, having discovered this site through some articles in periodicals, with the site being spun in the light of "O9A death cults" et al.
I'm wondering if there have been any studies on the demographics here... Of course, I wouldn't be surprised if the majority were younger, maybe between 18-25 years of age. I am always surprised to find oldies not constantly in the thrall of generational browbeating in regards to who has it easier, harder, or which generations are just far more corruptible than previous or future ones. There's also an odd sense of... tolerancy? when it comes to sending off libations for the deceased, which I admit is a little shocking, but maybe that arises from the "opposite pole" of desensitization. I'd like to hear anyone's thoughts on this.
(The "forumposting" format reminds me of IRCs which were a big thing in my time. Younger people I imagine use "Reddit" and all that shite, which to me is a bit too depersonalized, I've only ever "studied" it from afar).
