  • Hey Guest,

Today, OFCOM launched an official investigation into Sanctioned Suicide under the UK’s Online Safety Act. This has already made headlines across the UK.

This is a clear and unprecedented overreach by a foreign regulator against a U.S.-based platform. We reject this interference and will be defending the site’s existence and mission.

In addition to our public response, we are currently seeking legal representation to ensure the best possible defense in this matter. If you are a lawyer or know of one who may be able to assist, please contact us at [email protected].

Suicide is one thing.
Thinking about what my body will endure post-death is what makes me disturbed.
I have a lot of animals. Hundreds. I breed exotic animals. Unfortunately, sometimes animals die. Mostly hatchlings that didn't have a chance at life to start with. And I've seen it first hand, the decomposition process. The bloating. The smell. The look of death in the eyes.
I know I'll hear a response from someone, "Well, if you're dead, who cares? You'll be dead; you won't know!"
I hear you loud and clear. I don't really care if I won't know when I'm dead. I'm not dead now, therefore able to formulate a response towards what decomposition would be like.

Just thinking about my current vessel in such a disfigured and grotesque manner is incredibly disturbing.
Anyone else feel this way? Maybe its something that prevents you from suicide? What about if family, friends or the public discovered your body in such a disturbing state?

I actually don't mind this part.
I have a lot of big lizards and snakes. To think my body being eaten by them, would be nice and a fitting end.

Well, it's certainly strange to think about this.

I will probably be buried while a priest will be praying and saying what a great human being I was. (I'm not that nice and I'm an agnostic. Thanks for not respecting my wishes, dear family.)

Then, the worms will just eat me as years go by and I'll just "feed" the soil.

I don't think very much about this because I think that it's just...inevitable.

i hear you, depending on your method, if it's sn, i hope it doesn't poison or effect them

It would indeed. I don't plan to use SN. I appreciate the concern, and good thinking!

Sadly it is inevitable unless the person chooses to be cremated after their death, then that means they don't have to worry about nature taking its course. But yep, death is inevitable sadly and is a natural part of life.

I understand you. I also think a lot about my corpse and I'm completely disgusted. My family or someone else I know seeing my body in that state really panics me, even just thinking about what my body will go through post death is horrifying. However the thought of my ill body finally being in ashes, if cremated, is not a bad one

I've done thermophilic composting and I would like to be composted and decompose. I'll probably be cremated, but if I could just quickly rot and become dirt, that would work for me. I've always been ugly and fat, so already awful and bloated looking - and my skin is awful, so rotting isn't much different.
Put me in the compost and a year later you'll have the most amazing garden additive.

That is a reason of why I want to die as far away from society as possible. imagine someone finding your corpse with your own poop and pee. That would be embarrassing...

Yes, I know that people can get trauma from seeing a corpse. It is why I simply want to dissappear, as I do not want anyone to have to see that. It is also why I prefer cremation to burial. To me burial is like slowly rotting away while cremation is kinda like setting myself free (even know I won't be there to witness it)

I think that this is just something one shouldn't be worried about. It will happen to everyone, eventually.

Pull a Vladimir Lenin and incase your body in wax.
Jokes aside, yeah thinking about my dead body makes me weirded out too. It used to be more disturbed about it before I started to hate myself immensely, imagining myself dead now is almost a comfort to me because of the assurance that I will be dead.

I'm a bit late here but...This really speaks to me. It's something I often think about as well. I know the decomposition process, its so ugly, it's incredibly disturbing to think of my body becoming this way. I think when I go I'll choose to do so in a hotel room with an early check out date.

Not really something I think about frequently, I'm more concerned with having the method itself being peaceful. It's an understandable concern however.

I live alone and I think about it all the time. I dont care what happens to my body but I worry for the person who discovers, also who takes the body to crematorium etc.

I liked Pegasos service. They do it end to end. they assist in death and also tied up with cremate the body. Sadly, They refused my request saying healthy young person is impossible to get approved.

if only they were liberal.
