I am trying to decide on my location to ctb currently. My plan is to shoot myself in the head with a shotgun, ive been looking at some places near me and have found some in the $300 range that will be effective. I know that after I buy the gun I will have to ctb likely the same day as hiding it would be very hard. I live with 3 roommates and have a ring doorbell, so at the very least I would have to bring it home in a bag that doesn't look like a gun case.
The other concern I have with even bringing it into my house is that if my roommates were to find it they would probably freak out. We talked about getting a gun for the house and everyone seems fine with gun ownership but I think if they found out I had bought a gun and never mentioned it to anyone it would raise red flags. I would never want to make my roommates uncomfortable and bringing a gun in the house would do that. I have decided against killing myself in my house as I am renting and don't want any issues for my landlord.
My rough sketch of a plan would be right after I pick up the gun from the store I drive up to the city north of where I live(30 min drive) and find a hidden location I can shoot myself in. I am waiting on my financial situation to turn around before doing this because if I try and go through with it now I won't have enough money to support myself if I chicken out. Does this sound like a good plan? What should I be looking out for to not get caught?
