when i read someone asking advice/opinion about something like a problem , in my mind i think :death is the answer, you wouldn't have any problem if you were dead.
if i suggested people to kill themselves , i still would feel bad because they would take it negatively, even if i mean it with good intention for them to not suffer anymore.
i 've always thought that way. death is the solution to everything.
global warming?
economic crisis? covid? etc
easy solution: give everyone euthanasia

Yes, that would be the simplest solution for all problems or the problems would not exist at all.

But normally living beings are programmed for survival and reproduction.

Yes, death does solve all problems as you are simply unable to experience anything. I see life as an unnecessary pointless thing. We were all perfectly fine not existing until we were forced to live. Death really does comfort me. I cannot wait to be nothing again.

Personally I don't see death as solution. I see death as the end of a life I'm not interested in anymore.

Relatable. Sometimes I get this overwhelmed anxious concern of the future, which is part of my GAD diagnosis. "What if climate change apocalypse, what if nazis haul me to death camp, what if homeless, what if graduate college with no marketable skills". But then I realize I can ctb easily for any of these, and life isnt so scary anymore. Death can cure anything that can hurt me.

I believe that there are always 2 sides of a coin. A problem that can be fixed without death surely makes death not the ultimate answer and so is the same with Global warming, economic crisis etc, if there are people working on it to make it better and without involving death. Although I do not resonate with what you said, I feel your perspective. For those who have given up on life and find peace in their own death if they so wish then I believe death is the answer as much as life would be for those who find fulfillment in living.

I cannot stop thinking how good loosing consciousness felt when kneeling on the floor with noose around my neck. It truly felt like all my problems were disappearing and I do not give a fuck anymore about this bullshit called life.

This is actually an interesting point. If humans collectively didn't value their lives, we could peacefully accept world-ending outcomes. We wouldn't have to torture ourselves trying to come up with ways to save everyone, because death would be a valid option.

I would love to see a sitting President take a pro-death stance, and say, "If our nation can collectively come to peace with the fact that we will all be dead, sooner or later…we can freely ignore climate change, or involvement with other countries' affairs, and simply focus on making our lives here as happy as they can be before our eventual demise."

How do you achieve non existence? By death.

100% agreed. Until you start acceding to your evolutionary programming-delusions = "I" must continue to survive no matter what... and I'm unwilling to even conceive of no longer existing.

Not to mention the "ghost stories" all of us have been indoctrinated (contaminated?) with:
For in that sleep of death what dreams may come,
When we have shuffled off this mortal coil,
Must give us pausethere's the respect
That makes calamity of so long life.
For who would bear the whips and scorns ...
When he himself might his quietus make
With a bare bodkin
?
Who would ... grunt and sweat under a weary life,
But that the dread of something after death,
The undiscovere'd country, from whose bourn
No traveller returns, puzzles the will,
And makes us rather bear those ills we have
Than fly to others that we know not of
?
Thus conscience doth make cowards of us all,
And thus the native hue of resolution
Is sicklied o'er with the pale cast of thought,
And enterprises of great pith and moment
With this regard their currents turn awry
And lose the name of action.
It's evil i tell you: This is a type of first chemical, then biological, finally mental-conscious "hell", arisen-emergently from purely "dumb as a box of rocks" (literally), invariant, physical processes.

At least that's absolutely everything we find, empirically... Although a good scientist always remains open to new evidence, there's no "woo" to be seen here... except the "woo" we contrive within our "false imaginations".

It's all just so painfully, pointlessly sad ;-; ;-; ;-;.

I do think it would be better if the human race didn't exist, and I do see death as the solution to my and a lot of people's problems. But I also do think life can be beautiful, and a lot of people have reasons to live, a lot of people don't want to die; because life is peaceful enough to be enjoyable for them (most of the time). Well, can't relate...

There's no denying that there are pleasures here.... The question is, is all the ice creams, and sunsets, the cuddling, and orgasms... Is all the "good stuff" worth even one kid getting childhood cancer, "fighting it" for 5 years, and dying painfully anyway?

There is a huge discrepancy between the "goods" and the "bad things" here that most people are oblivious to.

Why are some of us not oblivious... when the vast majority are? What, overall is the "highest good"??

YES! ALL THE PROBLEMS of life are entirely contingent on life existing in the first place!

It's profoundly stupid to literally "create problems" (messes) that we then need to fix (often inadequately).

There has to be a shit ton of stuff on the "good side of the scales" that I'm just not seeing... Either that or 99% of the population is fucking deluded.

99% of the population are deluded.
It's not surprising: Give a feedback loop (evolution) 400,000,000 years to optimize around a single parameter (survival)...

There's a lot of "bad programming" we've all been imposed-with.
