Even the dead need water .
So says my accomplished daughter .
She crossed that finish line .
Now storms are her warp speed new car -
her cell phone from any star -
one mist of dew , and our chirping rings through .
Yes, I always could live just for rain -
and a lions own gentle main -
both these droughts now down to the marrow .
The severed head of Orpheus , swirlin' alone -
fillin the ravines with song -
a stalwart green mountain sparrow.
