i decided to make a dating profile again. downloaded tinder, hinge, and bumble. i cant decide if i want to blow my brains out, drink myself to death, or both.

i know but honestly, its my only chance at ever finding a relationship. unless a girlfriend just magically materializes in my bedroom right now.

its not like i go out or anything, and even if i did it feels like nobody is my type. maybe im just broken

I sympathize heavily with you having to use dating apps. It's a hard line to juggle when you need to care enough to put enough effort into curating a social persona for a potential partner, yet you're expected to not care TOO much just in case you need to detach yourself in case things don't work out with someone. That is an exhausting line to juggle and yet dating apps seem to be the only option for many.

Idk how it will go for you but I deleted my tinder after like a month of not getting a single like. much less a match. Swiping right on everybody that came up. something something 10% of the users get 90% of the interaction something something

Dating apps lowered my self esteem. I sometimes use them, but it's very improbable I will find someone. I'm depressed because of a fact that it's so difficult to get to know someone on dating apps/online, as a man (except the most desired ones), as I don't work, nor study and don't know where else can I find a girlfriend :/

the part that kills me the most is that i cant complain about any of this to my sister's because none of them get how hard dating apps are for men. hell, one of them literally found her husband and now father of her child on fucking tinder.

Well, when you're a guy you need to be something like 5% most attractive if I recall correctly for it to work in these apps. I cannot ever complain as I am very lucky to be one of the 1%er... on the uglier side. This means I will always have 50 mb free on my phone.
