I think it depends on the circumstances. Dark mode is the way to go at home when browsing websites. But I prefer light mode at work, and for reading sizeable/dense paragraphs (books). And I limit bright and blue lights a couple of hours before my bedtime.

I think it's a personal preference whether we prefer light/dark mode.

When I made my account here, I had other problems than to think about light or dark mode - I just didn't care and I got used to light mode. However, I use some other web applications / mobile apps operate in dark mode. It's imply like I got used to certain things and once I'm used to sth I don't really like to change it.

You definitely are. This is a huge red flag. Dark mode has only ever been the way. Although it's less about readability and more about matching the site with the blackness of our souls. We must remain suitably edgy.

I never changed the default light mode for a while, i didn't even know you can change it and when I knew I was ok with the psychopath thing to keep using it as i hate change. I've now changed to dark mode for a while and when for some reason I'm logged out of my account and it's on the default mod, makes me think I can't believe I was using that mode all that time. It literally hurts. Change it! believe me, your eye will thank you for it, especially if you are on here all day long like me.

I never got the hype of dark mode UNTIL I tried it. I can't imagine switching back, light mode now hurts my eyes
