I remember a member of this forum calling me a conspiracy theorist for bringing up the morally bankrupt pharmaceutical industry, the corrupt dsm-5 and telling others about the devastating and life altering effects of these drugs. The worst part is that psychiatrists hand over these drugs as if they were candy for even the mildest symptoms of anxiety/depression.

It's baffling to me the fact that so many people get their lives ruined because of this, and their perspective is never taken seriously. The moment that you dare speak up against one of the most openly evil industries and bring up their multiple scandals over the years or their fucked up ways to manipulate information is the moment that you become a deranged conspiracist and no one should ever value your perspective, even if the pills in question have an extremely low efficacy rate and very real and verifiable side effects that may never go away.

I find it strange I spoke to my GP and explained a few times how taking Risperidone has destroyed my life I have worked cleaned shaved for over 30 years and she still had doubts I saw the look on her face as she said no surely that wouldn't happen and I said YES quite firmly that's why I'm here it turned me into a zombie so I couldn't function properly, talk about brain fog it was like locked in syndrome I couldn't and wouldn't hold a conversation I would say yes or no I had enough energy to get out of bed and walk to the living room and sit there for 12 hours watching TV and surfing the net.

So I told her I was given Risperidone and I wasn't told of any side effects I told her I haven't taking a tablet in 20 years I don't believe in taking medicine so I never researched the side effects until it was to late, guess what she gave me Mirtazapine without a word of caution, lol but she's nice I could have destroyed her but she's happy to give me free drugs, where I am still in contact with the NHS Maudsley Hospital in London SE5 and they have given me sod all in nearly 2.5 years and they saw me before I got side effects as I turned up to appointments in a suit and happy and bubbly and they came to my home I looked like Robinson Cruesowe unwashed and no energy and said about an AD and I said I'm not depressed just no energy to do sod all the person I speak to just keeps saying I will speak to the pycharatrist, he's away on holiday or he's not here today honestly 3 months ago I had a telephone interview and he said he would prescibe me these drugs and it's just excuse after excuse.

The sad fact about AD they know they cause suicdal feeling in children adults and seniors have CTB because it's listed in the online as causeing suicidal feelings but they don't tell the parents as I have read cases and it's only they have died they investigated the side effects, I was just so lucky I found a handful of vitamins and started taking them and they cleared the mind fog and I started to improve.

I suppose the GP's have a lot to answer for as well, they only allocate you about 10 minutes for a consultation so quickly start typing a AD presciption and they do hand them out like candy.

I have seen private pycharatrists and they are just as bad they tell you nothing about side effects or humour you by saying yes it can effect the receptors and quickly change the subject.

Cheers

Geo

I acknowledge I would me more moderate than others here since I'd probably be already dead if antidepressants didn't exist.

Get your T-levels checked Geo.
These tablets have a habit of fucking up your hormones.
How are you supposed to feel less depressed when you've gained 20 pounds cuz of the tablets...

Btw interesting fact Mirtazapine is a appetite stimulant for pets...lol

I have in the last 3 months I have gone private and with my GP through the NHS and hospital all came back with good results but libido is low so got some Viagra,:blarg: I also read good reviews on these minerals below but all the reviews are bollocks as they had no effect on me,

L-Arginine plus L-Citrulline, 100% Tribulus.

I do take daily Ultra Garlic which contain 7200ug Allicin, 1000mg Cod Liver Oil a powerful Multivitamin and Turmeric with 95% Curcumin with BioPerine for easy absorbtion, I have red Korean Ginsing 8000mg but I noticed even taking it around 09.00 I still couldn't sleep just tossed and turned so I stopped using it.

The worst anti depressant I fought hard for two weeks to let go was cymbalta, cold turkey. Brain zaps, even when moving the eyes I would get brain zaps! Was horrible.

I tried most on the list. There was only one left to try. Worked well for a month. Now is faddish and i refuse to spend a life time of upping doses :(

@poof posted about a study on antidepressants.

It's a long read but shows that most of the major antidepressants increase the risk of suicide in everyone who takes them, if I remember correctly.

I have bags of pumkin seeds which I find really tasty to snack on and a full fruit bowl or if I start craving a sugery snack I have a bowl of musili but make sure when you eat your main meal to add plenty of veg.

But I am not craving food or snacks all day I have one meal around 18.00 or later although I did have a small lunch today so I am not getting that need to eat now feeling.

Hope it helps

You can't go wrong with fruit, and vegetables if you are worried about your weight.
Please don't end up malnourished your body, and brain is still probably developing:heart:
Avocado is a great source of healthy fats.

Don't go crazy eating to much fruit two of each an Apple, Banana and Orange is enough as it still contains sugar even though it's naturally occurring, to much is bad for your teeth and weight control.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news.

The story hits the mental health community differently when it's one of their own who went through it. People all over have been hurt by side effects of psych meds to where they can't even live as normally as they have before taking them.

Look at how far the comments go for Zoloft side effects.

I had been on a low dose of Prozac 75% of my life. I'm 39 now. Well funds were short. Insurance sucks and I decided on dog food over meds. I haven't taken it in 6 months. My emotions are all over the place. My wife has never caught on that I'm not taking it. Other than my emotions are like a roller coaster the same thoughts that were there while I was on it are still there.

I take 7 medications daily and 1 of them (don't know the name but it costs over $4,600.00 for a 30 day supply). Next month i won't be able to afforded because my healthplan expires.

I always feel the same (major depression, high anxiety, psychotic and suicidal). I barely sleep and don't know what else to take. The medications don't work... I have fallen from my bed more then 10 times because i'm always dizzy. ECT treatments were the worst. Well... in my case. I'm tired of taking the meds. Want to take all at once and OD but i don't know were they are in my house.

Thanks for reading and take care.

See they know they have serious side effects and the GP's or Doctors never mention these side effects which is bad especially if your a minor taking them.

Thanks for uploading the 2007 articule

Wow $4,600.00 a month that's criminal I would try getting a second opinion from a different doctor who may have insights into other treatments which will help you but with fewer meds if you get a second oppinion at least you will get the satisfaction knowing your first doctor has your best interests at heart.

I have trouble with my sleep so I am starting a sleep journal where I write down everything from when I feel tired and force myself to stay awake and then can't sleep to when I do sleep I will have to make a few changes so no TV or SS for 2 hours before bed and just relax I just saw Paul Mckenna on This morning TV and he said he has sleep video's on YouTube so I will try relax while listening to him and see if I go to sleep.

I have come off escitilopram after being on it for 9 years. I was put on it after my husband passed away and having been diagnosed with depression and complex ptsd after a life full of trauma.
It has been 4 months now and at first I was very ill with sever insomnia and brain zaps and very suicidal. 4 months later I am still extremely suicidal but the other symptoms have gone.
My biggest regret is taking them in the first place. They made me numb and I believed I was taking them to better function and support my son, now an independent adult.
I am actually here researching the suicide methods available to me in the UK
