Help Customs Office

Hello,

This question is about the customs office, and it will be written in bold.

I have the Ukrainian contact that can supply me with SN.

My understanding is that I will receive a physical letter from customs once the parcel arrives. So the parcel is not actually delivered straight to my home address, right? Once I receive this letter, I’ll be required to go to customs, declare the contents of my parcel and collect it as well as pay the import duty. To collect my parcel I need to be able to identify myself in front of them. My ID card is expired and, owing to my circumstances, I cannot renew it. I don’t have a driver’s license. Can I use my passport or will I get into trouble?

What’s more, should I get into trouble, there could be some serious legal issues emerging as regards the address I’m staying at. (By the way, I don’t live alone.) So, if this happens, I plan to take a knife and do my best.

I’m really fucking desperate. This may sound like a stupid idea, but sometimes stupid ideas is all you have. I don’t know how likely I am to act upon this. It depends on how more desperate I can afford to get. But I am willing try anything with even a slight chance of success.

Also, I hate the UK government and all other bureaucratic governments that restrict a salt and I think I prefer anarchy at this point (LOL).
(Yes, it is a poison. Whatever. I get it. Life is shit.) (I don’t live in the UK.)

my idea is not to simply order from abroad. in fact I have given up on this and I will be sent sn from my country. the only problem is that it is food grade but I think it's fine anyway

Can you not go to your neighbor Brazil it's openly available there. I read a member say it last year.

Yeah, I’ll just be like, it’s sodium nitrite, plus pink salt, I’m trying to get into home made cured meats I saw a video on YouTube (If they are too nosy). There seems to be a non-suspicious online retailer that can ship me it and the container itself is reputable as it is from a US manufacturer.

The only problem is, no one has answered my questions. Do you think I could use a passport if they ask for identification and be like, I’m renewing my ID card?

Yeah, even if you order online, it might not arrive. I don’t know if a fine or sentence is given, or maybe a warning, or maybe you just don’t receive it.

So you going to UK customs to pick up but not in UK?

Yeah I'm not really sure I understand your question OP? Same as Gromit ^
If you're trying to get it from UK customs, I'm not sure you could just turn up with some ID and claim it?
When it gets to customs it would either be cleared and passed on to Royal Mail (or other) or if they're suspicious it would be seized and you won't be able to get it

Maybe look up the customs website where you live yourself and see. If you have to collect they will let you know if your ID is correct as we cannot tell as don't know the customs you are referring to. Never have I had to go to customs in UK to collect a parcel. If you are not in UK strange linking gov.uk websites

Ah I think I get you, I'm guessing you're probably in a territory somewhere around the British Isles? I don't think anyone here can say for sure what would happen without knowing where you are, but I understand if you don't wanna say. You could maybe try to order a parcel first to check? Something completely innocent looking that you'd normally use

Right, general users. Shocked to hear customs wouldn't give you the information you need to collect stuff. Maybe take ID card as will have picture am sure and passport. Maybe make up a flyer of mikenoir meat curing for added authenticity
