Dammit! I hate this.

While nothing is without risk when dealing with this subject, this looks like a rare case. Every other child in the class of 20+ recovered fully, with him being an outlier who went into a coma. Again, nothing is fool-proof, but there are many more examples of individuals making full recoveries with no adverse effects even after severe poisoning than there are cases like this one. Not to mention he was declared brain dead and therefore well and truly gone for all intents and purposes, rather than making a partial recovery with impaired brain function, which is the main worry for many of us trying to ctb.

Partial is hard to do, I tried. There's no passing out, just pressure is building up which I found very unpleasant.
Curious. When I tried it, the only problem for me was leaving my feet. I guess it depends on the person. I could feel very dizzy just by leaning into the rope. The only reason I'm not doing partial hanging is, that I worry that the crappy beam in my wardrobe won't hold my weight. Also, the wardrobe is really small and the beam is on my head level, so the entire thing was a bit awkward to do.

Also, I find a lot of people "overthink" partial. Only thing I found that really matters is knot positioning. I found that placing it in the front is the best as it avoids pressure on the windpipe. I don't see why people recommend placing it in the back of the head. It's a statistical fact that most succesful suicides have it at the back, yes, but it could just be that the knot slid there after the person passed out and died.

All feedback much appreciated. I must say that it's great to find people that truly understand what it means to be at this point.
