I have ordered curing salt with a 6.25% sodium nitrite level. I have been trying to do research on this forum and see many people stating that this will not work. However, after doing research online it looks like it's still possible to reach what I am wanting to and am curious if my research is coming up true. I am 95 lbs and will be consuming 8 tbsp of the curing salt. From my research it looks like 1 tbsp of curing salt is equal to 1 gram of sodium nitrite. Is this actually true according to what you all know?

Tablespoon measurements can be inprecise, additionally, while the ratio might not be that different, the sheer amount of regular salt will cause vomiting *and* slow down SN absorption a lot.

Are you able to expand on this? Why would it slow down SN absorption? And if I take enough anti-nausea can the vomiting be mitigated?

It would slow down the absorption because the stomach can absorb a finite amount of salts in a specific time. The stomach would be absorbing SN as well as the sodium, and either salt in high quantities will trigger vomiting (even with anti-emetics sometimes, but AE adds time). But by the time vomiting is triggered in the curing salt case, it's less likely that the curing salt (SN + salt) absorbed will be able to complete it's task, compared to SN.

Even if it kills, the intervention window is larger, and too much regular salt can cause brain swelling:

Alterations in extracellular fluid sodium concentrations produce water shifts that lead to brain swelling or shrinkage

Thank you so much for continuing to answer my questions! I really appreciate you, would you be okay with me asking a few more?

I'll do my best, ask away
This is veering off into a different direction, but seeing as this doesn't seem to be the method for me. How do you feel the "night-night" method compares to partial hanging in a scientific lens? Does one seem to be more lethal than the other?

I've not thought of that. I've done research into night night and even tried it myself (but I skipped steps and survived, if I'd retry I'd use more than one sock): https://sanctioned-suicide.net/threads/the-one-way-bus-but-skipped-ticket-process.207717/

Here are 2 search results I found for partial hanging:

PS: How r u, if I may ask? I'm doing alright rn.

Thank you and I appreciate you answering my questions yet again! I really am glad that you're doing alright, I sadly am not doing too well. I've finally reached a point in disability where finding a job is in some ways impossible, while recently being diagnosed with cancer. I was willing to go through treatment until my partner broke up with me a week ago and said they just couldn't continue feeling bad enough for me to stay. All of this mixed into 3 months has honestly been just a bit devastating lol

Indeed, it's quite unfortunate (disability, cancer... then a partner who leaves like that)... hopefully conditions improve (eg finding someone who'll stay by u, whether offline, online, or both).
