CTBing in a hotel

Why do people CTB in hotels? It seems like the most common place, especially for the SN method.

I considered renting a hotel in Paris, spending the weekend there and if I couldn't find one enjoyable thing about a weekend in Paris I'd go back to the hotel and do it.

Is it because hotels seem more de-tatched? Maybe because we're guaranteed to be found?

For me it's so my parents have as minimal participation in my suicide afterwards as possible. I live alone, and it's not uncommon for no one to hear from me for weeks. So I'd have to send out a delayed email about my demise, and it would probably be to my parents. I'm afraid they'd fly up here just to see for themselves, instead of calling the non-emergency number.

Most people just don't want to give their immediate family the additional burden of finding their loved ones dead or catching them in the act.
and there is nothing enjoyable about a trip to Paris, that city is one huge disappointment.

I live with four younger siblings, plus my mom and stepdad. I would never be able to rest peacefully knowing I made any one of them find my lifeless body. I want to reduce the trauma they'll face as much as possible, so I'd rather be found by a stranger. Though, ideally, I'd prefer it if no one had to find me at all.

Ive got my 2 nephews in the house - two little annoying fuckers. My sister is still holding grudge for me watching a Japanese horror with them once saying it traumatized them(Kowai Onna scary shit). So thats that.

Also, if i have to die Id rather have a suicide vacation complete with drugs and hookers someplace nice!

How high are the cleaning costs of the hotel? Hotel staff have to clean up some mess related to CTB. Hundreds or a few thousand $?

I will be CTB at a hotel through SN on Monday. The reason for this is because I live in a sober living home full of women, and not only do I have roommates in my room, but there's no lock on my door and people walk in all the time. There's no way I could do it at home without getting caught and "saved".

I'll be leaving a note for Law Enforcement so they know my name and address (old address on ID) therefore the staff at my place can be contacted along with my mother's number.

As of now, I am planning to CTB in a motel/hotel, so that my family will not be the ones to find my body and so I will not "contaminate" the house. However, I'm wondering if there is more likely to be some sort of [local] media coverage -- or similar -- if someone has died by suicide in such a place... I'd like to attract as little interest/curiosity as possible. Are there other alternatives that should be considered?

Edit: should add that I'm transgender, which is why I'm a bit worried about "interest", morbid curiosity, or what have you.

I assume you live in California or somewhere that requires disclosing recent deaths in real estate transactions. Most states however don't have this requirement.

Personally for me, I assume others probably believe the same, they don't want to be discovered by a friend or family member. Of course I would leave a note inside my room right at the floor of the door.

Seems pretty harsh on the hotel maid to me. If you're not willing to face up to the pain you're going to cause your family then you shouldn't be doing it. Accepting suicide means accepting you're hurting loved ones. You can't shy away from that.

Make sure the doggo has someone who can pick him up/home to go to. As to not be sent to a pound..

You can make it easy on the maid, hole up in the bathroom n put a note on the outside of the door saying something like, "Don't come in - I'm dead, call the police". Nobody has to see that doesn't want to/it isn't their job to.
It's bad enough for family to know you've done it - to have your dead face etched in their minds for all eternity isn't a great legacy to leave
