Please excuse the very strange question. If I take SN at work with other people around, and get rid of all evidence (wash cup, etc), what would happen? I mean eventually someone would notice and call for help. But then what? Will I lose my job if they figure out what happened? Would they know it's a CTB attempt? Once again I know this is a ridiculous question, you don't need to mention that. But please...

A couple of things come to mind:
1) Why? This wouldn't be a serious attempt to ctb if done where people will notice and call for help. You will be saved.

2) i don't think anyone will be looking to go through garbages etc to find cups or the like bcuz they won't know what's wrong

3) your job and coworkers will be very concerned and will want to know what caused it. You have to have a story? But the truth will be known at the hospital so you risk being caught in a lie.

4) attempting will land you in psych ward so how do you explain the time off from work where you can't be reached?

5) id imagine a ctb attempt at work will result in justified firing .. if they find out

6) if you try to ctb at work it's only a cry for help... is it worth it?

7) I can kind if relate in a way.. ifI posted how I'd truly like to ctb, I'd get a lot of guff. But I don't want to survive so with that plan i risk it.

Yeah, everything @Living sucks said.

Perhaps the question would seem less strange if you explained what your actual goals are with that kind of scenario. To attempt at work, deliberately fail, receive concern from coworkers and medical care from hospital, but then return to work without anyone there knowing the real reason for your sudden illness?

As you can see from the other two replies … DO NOT DO THIS !!!
It will not end well... you could also lose your job for attempting this at work.
Unless you have a place there you won't be found for hours, I can't see how this could possibly work.

From Stan's Guide:

Death

Anywhere between 40 minutes and 4 hours depending on your health and natural metabolism. There is no way to give an individual person a time of death from consumption. When discovered, your skin will have changed colour to a grey or blue due to the cyanosis. Because of the wide time frame that death can be reached, it is vital that you factor this in your plan so you do not get found and saved.

You will be rescued and end up to a mental hospital . They will call emergency and the first thing that they do is using oxygen and it will undo the SN eefects. Please remeber that if somebody ctb ,she is looking for death and nothing less or more . it is not for getting people's attention

Methylene Blue is used in hospital to counter the SN . Ambulances are not equipped with this .

I wanted to respond with this, but was worried I'd seem pedantic. Yes, in fact it's the failure of oxygen saturation levels to rise despite being administered oxygen which is the main indication of SN poisoning (as well as the blue colouration). In a first-world healthcare system, odds are that anyone with dangerously low oxygen saturation who didn't respond to oxygen on scene would likely be rushed to hospital quickly and they would be administered methylene blue immediately on arrival. So I'm just meaning that the absence of methylene blue from the paramedic's toolkit is not usually a major delay.

@InTheAirTonight, we are genuinely curious about your goals behind this question. Don't keep us hanging! :smiling:
