I am planning to CTB using SN as soon as I can source it. Is it better to do it at home (I live completely by myself) or in a hotel room? Is there an advantage to either or?

Unless you let somebody know, you probably won't be found in a couple of days, maybe even weeks at home. Hotel is rather safier option 'cause people will inevitably enter the room once your reservation is over.
Pretty much depends if want to get found quick. If you live by yourself it could take a while to get found. I suggest writing a planned e-mail to someone you know. So that they can send police over to your address to clean up. But if you dont mind not getting found, I suggest doing it at home because personally I think its nicer for one to pass away in your own 4 walls. Seeing an unfamiliar room like a hotel room during your last moments doesnt seem that nice to me.

No offense but I think hotel should be reserved as a last resort for people who have no where private to go. It doesn't seem fair to traumatize some poor cleaning person when you could do it at home. You can schedule a text or email to go out so that you are found.

I would think there would be an advantage to doing it at home.
Unless you have people visiting you occasionally at your home, there's greater likelihood you'll be discovered in a hotel room, and their calling for medical attention.
