CTB in shooting range

Is this actually a viable method? Is there any preventive measures they take to prevent you from CTB? I'm aware that in some places you need company but is that the case everywhere?

it depends very much
in my country, shooting ranges require that you have your own gun, which here is illegal, so you either is part of the military service or you have the same power as someone who is part of the military service
they doesn't borrow you a gun cause if you ctb, it wasn't their fault

there may be staff nearby, so there is a chance they might try to prevent u... also, sometimes the guns are locked in place (can't be turned too much... to prevent a person injuring/killing others or themselves)

Dude, just don't. That is such a dick move to everyone else in the range. Buy your own gun and take it somewhere private.

in my country, if you're a beginner, they always have some guy watching over you and giving you instructions, so it would really depend on how careless this guy is for you to do it successfully.

It's possible depending on the range but not ideal at all. Better to own a firearm and go out on your own, but that isn't an option in most countries...

In shooting ranges there will be someone a few feet away from you at all times, so being able to quickly turn the firearm at the right time and pull the trigger is a huge challenge. Some places also have other preventative measures.

If you are curious, see if there's any videos or research you can do on shooting ranges in your area. I don't recommend this method at all though.

You aren't realizing how bad the consequences will be if things don't go the way you expect. It's wrong, its selfish, its incredibly lazy, and if you actually are coping with your own senility as your username seems to imply, then it's even more likely that it'll go wrong, so just don't.

In my opinion, it would be risky. The gun rented would be a low caliber target practice gun. Also an instructor would be less than five feet away...

I thought about doing this method myself but after doing some research, a bad idea. Where I live (US) alot of ranges prepare for people like you. Staff are trained to look for potential suicides, so it's very easy for something to go wrong and the consequences are really bad. They may not even let you in, you know. My range only allows people with their own firearm because they figure if you already own a one, you could always just do it at home. They also don't let anyone in if you come alone. Even if you do somehow make it in, you will be watched very closely by a staff member. You're gambling on whether or not they are careless enough to let you commit. It's not worth the risk all things considered. If possible just save up for your own gun. I don't know what else to tell ya

i had planned on doing this and made a post similar to this and was met with a lot of (rightful) negative feedback about it. I think doing it in public around people is always a bad idea, I was in a bad space not really thinking about the ramifications of my actions because of how bad I wanted to go, but ultimately I would advise against it, yes its cheaper and easier to get quick access to a firearm but if you live in a place where you can just buy one easily do that.

If the staff with you is this guy then you have a good chance of getting taken out

I would say, try to get a Glock or a sig.

9mm Hollow point should do the job.

there can be kids in ranges sometimes like if you are in the US. i wouldnt do it, if you are at a range with a rented gun you could probably just leave for the bathroom and do it in there
