I think lots of trains used to come by my home and every day i have to stop at train tracks to park at my house but lately they seem to be coming through super infrequently here
I think there are too many variables for this to be reliable, like how you happen to hit the train and whether you get deflected off in exactly the right way so as not to die, but just be seriously injured. Plus, there's the consideration that you might/will traumatize the engineer.
I dont know the exact survivor rate but there is a swiss government newspaper (they should have the numbers the rail is managed by the government too) saying 140 people died by train method in i think it was 2019 if i remember it right and 14 survived with heavy injuries…
Death would be pretty instant ig, especially if u dont jump in front of it but lay ur head on the tracks. But the problem is the chance of u traumatizing the driver of the train or anyone else who sees ur body…
Edit: this isnt the article but this is a pretty interesting paper by the swiss rail company, I didnt read the whole thing yet too… but it sadly is pro-life of course and in german…
