Method Ctb by slitting throat

So I've seen quite a few videos now of people slitting their own throats and bleeding out. While it sounds brutal, they seem to collapse after just a minute from bleeding. If I have nobody to save me, and turn off my phone, could this work as a method?

Considered this too. Even placed a kitchenknife on my troat and tried to slice, but surprisingly it didn't even left a cut, and it wasn't that dull. So you need a very sharp knife or machete, and a lot of strengt and willpower.

That's exactly what I thought about the persons in the videos... although I definitely condemn the killing of the other person they stabbed in those videos.

I think they did it because they just stabbed another person, so the authorities were already on the way and it left them no choice but to turn the knife on themselves. But the first part (stabbing someone else) is NEVER something I would wanna do. So I wouldn't have any rush to use a knife on myself in the first place.

it takes a lot of force to actually slit someone else's throat. i imagine it would be 100x harder to slit your own throat while in pain paired with the extreme adrenaline.

Some guy in the US, under the effects of a drug called PCP, cut his abdomen with a knife and his intestines were outside.

I think he thought there was something inside he wanted to take out or something, some sort of delirium like that.

I also heard of cannibalism with that drug.

I have thoughts about this a lot but know there is no way I'd manage to go deep enough to ctb. The instinct to not go hard enough would be too much to overcome.

It's much harder than it seems, your muscles would unconsciously tense up and move so you would stop, you can see this in all tentative cuts...

It would also make a huge mess, I've known a few reports of people who tried and failed and it's just not a good method, due to it being so dramatic it's super easy for someone to notice and intervene.

I've had the thought of this, but it's just super hard to actually get the strength to fully commit to it. Cutting your throat is one thing, but the amount of force that you'll need to use in order to die relatively quickly is another. Cutting in general is just a pretty painful way to go out in my opinion.

I have considered it among the other crappy options one must employ if they don't have Nembutal etc. With the throat it is pretty challenging to actually cut the carotids / a carotid and you will probably have to cut through a bunch of other painful stuff to get it done...laryngeal nerve, maybe the jugular, other tissue etc. You could have the willpower to cut into your throat and through your laryngeal nerve etc. and you may still have your real work ahead of you. Honestly, seems worse than something like hanging if one is considering the more primitive options.

A doctor stabbed his femoral arteries to bleed out and succeeded but I think he completely anesthetized the area first, having access to the means that he did.

I could never imagine doing this myself. I've seen video of someone who did publicly. Still chills my skin. 10/10 dramatic

this in general is a VERY hard method to go through with unless you have balls of steel, probably also impossible unless you use something very sharp but even then i can imagine you'd need to cut through multiple times, yikes the pain seems definitely too much
