Greetings,

I just thought about the classic old "throwing yourself off of something" aka. jumping method.

At a certain height it definitely will be effective, the price you pay being a scary height as well, I know that. I'd be willing to "pay" that.

However my questions are, (1) how tall would it really have to get to near instantly send one to the other side? (It'd be great if I didn't have to hold through a mass amount of broken bones before I catch the bus, first). (2) Are there any buildings that tall enough that are accessible in Germany? I've looked on a database for tall buildings near me and all of them seem to be office buildings or proposed to-be-built projects.

I am not about to be arrested and then sent to the hospital for breaking into office building to ctb. Lol.

I am from a region of Germany where the tallest actually accessible buildings are at most apartment buildings with 20 or 21 stories. Those have semi- public balconies for the people living in there that you can just enter once you are in the building itself. But I am unsure if they will be enough. If all fails it seems I'll look into a different method anyway.

Thank you.

Regards

Regarding your first question: Height isn't really that important, it's how you land. You can jump from 7 meters and have almost 100% chance of death if you land on your head. Some people survive 40 meters by landing on their feet, so maybe try diving or not landing on their side. Regarding your second question, I would recommend lost places (I'm also from Germany and am willing to jump from one). They're almost always empty, and you won't have any problems with the police if you don't make a lot of noise or shout or wtv.

Go for 40+ meters, landing onto concrete. It should make you lights out instantly. It's hard navigating in the air, with that height you don't have to land head first [its best, but hard to do] - landing on your back or belly will kill you too. Even landing on your feet should instantly kill, but while head/back/belly is 98-99% kill chance, feet would be 90-95% i estimate - so do everything you can to not land on your feet.

I see. I've never considered abandoned buildings at all. (Likely because all of the ones in my state are abandoned 5 story apartment buildings or generally building sites).
I will let you know when I receive message permissions, I saw you've replied to me on a request thread, I'm a new user. My apologies and thank you.

At around 13 floor there is absolutely no chance anybody can survive a fall from that height if the ground is hard concrete, not even a polar bear can withstand such extreme pressure lol. 13 floors is roughly around 39m if you count each floor as 3m high. You will be travelling at an terminal velocity of 36.53m/s or around 120mph.

While it may be difficult to find buildings that are exactly 12 floors and 39m tall it can be less than that and would still work.
The places i would recommend is the city, since city has lots of high-rise buildings such as hotels and apartments that usually are around 30m high, although the rooftop access depends on the type of buildings but i think most is accessible but it will say the area is not allowed for access.

So this would all depend on you, if you can execute your plan quickly then you won't have to worry about being caught.
But if you are gonna take your time, then I recommend you to plan ahead of things to avoid any issues upon arriving to the place.

I'm sorry that i don't live in Germany, so i wouldn't exactly know what kind of buildings are available for you. You could try bridges too but it's all up to you.
After all, nobody lives eternally because the only reason you and I were born was because of our parents.
