Crushing pills for OD

Can anyone advise on whether to crush pills for OD purposes? I'm specifically looking at doing it for propranolol, but I don't know if this would help for CTB or scew it up somehow?
maybe it helps with digestion? like when you make more surface for it to absorb? but just make sure you have enough (and prob more) amount for OD or you'll be in a lot of pain...
