Discussion Crossing from San Diego to Mexico

How the heck do you cross from San Diego to Tijuana Mexico? I want to fly to San Diego and walk across the border to Tijuana. I want to find N and then bring it back. But my fear is that if I did somehow get N, how would I smuggle it back? I would have to put my backpack through a scanner and they would see the bottle lol. Idk how did anyone make it through the border doing this???!

I haven't heard that you can still get N in Tijuana anyway. But if you did manage, I would think take it out of the original container and put it into something else.
