Death in Reverse

Just wondering? Would anyone rather have their body buried or cremated in a casket? I'm personally going for the cremated route, being buried in casket slowly decomposing sounds absolutely terrifying tbh. I also don't want to shoot myself because damn I don't want someone finding my body with half my face blown off. At least with SN or F your corspe will look pretty normal if it's found fresh.

I'd actually prefer being buried in the groud, no casket. That way I can be plant food and help the environment in some small way. But if I had to choose between cremation and casket, I'd go with cremation so my body would no longer exist in its entirety. I hate my body and the fact that it will still exist once I'm dead upsets me (with the exception of being plant food, becuase I will finally be useful for once in that case!)

I honestly prefer cremation. I hate the idea of decomposition, even though it's the most natural way to go. not to say I don't care about the environment, but I've never been super into composting and all that other stuff. Then again, it's not like my parents would keep the ashes of a guy that committed suicide in their house, maybe they could spread my ashes into a river or something.

Cremated. No service. No fuss. I like the idea of my ashes being scattered in the sea but it probably doesn't really matter.

I also like the idea of feeding a tree but I bet all that is expensive. I want to prepay for my cremation- so my family don't have to be bothered with it.

Cremated. That would be the ideal and cheapest option where i live. Burial is a waste of time as family members have to constantly pay the rent for it and eventually they take you out (bones) to get another person in. Plus there is no point on wasting space, casket are not very environmentally friendly. Decomposition takes a very long time too which is is pointless.

I would like to be cremated once i die. I have claustrophobia, and the idea of rotting in a small casket is terrifying to me.
Also, if I ctb by jumping off a cliff my body won't look so pretty if it's put in a casket.

I would rather just be cremated and forgotten about like I never existed at all, to me there is nothing more beautiful than the thought of eternal nothingness where I'm unable to exist for all eternity. This awful existence could never be worth remembering.

I'm going with a natural burial. No preserving and just wrapped in a sheet and put in the ground in a field. A couple places in my state have this. Been on the earth for a while now with lots of dead relatives (including parents) and most people don't go to graves and unless you're scattering ashes do people want to have a jar of a person sitting around and they'd feel bad just tossing it? The place I'll probably go with, you can get a small rock with name on it and it's put along a path but the actual site is a natural field.

I'd prefer cremation, but I don't mind if it wouldn't be possible. I planned to say in my note that most of my wishes are just suggestions, and if it doesn't work, screw that.
Somehow it sounds appealing to be either buried or cremated wrapped only with a shroud, but I'm afraid that it would traumatize people or make them think that my relatives are cheap, so maybe regular clothes would be more appropriate. I feel driven to the idea of just shroud, but wouldn't want to be insensitive. For the cremation or burial thing, I guess cremation is preferred, but the instructions are supposed to be "if someone doesn't work for you, screw that and do whatever worlds".

They both are scary to me.. but if I had to chose one it would probably be burial.. our bodies will break down and become soil.. it's like the earth taking us back.

Fire/heat really scares me.. even after death. What if you still feel things after death? I know it's not likely but it's an irrational fears I have :/

I always thought I wanted cremation rather than be buried and left alone rotting in the grown. I once had a casual conversation about what I would want and my mother was extremely against cremation and became very upset about not being buried in a cemetary. Knowing how much pain my death will cause her I feel obligated to choose being buried, it's the least I can do for my family. I just wish i could do it without the coffin and be one with the land but unfortunately not an option. So i just keep telling myself that once I ctb it doesnt matter what happens to my body, I'm leaving this place so i'll do like the only kind thing i can for my family and let them have a burial and funeral.

I don't care, to be honest. I'll just be happy to be gone. What humans decide to do with this meat avatar is their business.

Cremated. Why make a beautiful Peace of woodwork only to bury it? I'll take up less space in a pot. Also, if I'm cremated, there are companies that take your ashes and turns it into a diamond. How cool is that?

Well if you're in a casket that is actually harmful to the environment.

I think what you are looking for is terramation

Cremated. No funeral service. Donations made to the local animal shelter, should people request a way to honor me.

I prefer cremation because I don't want people to have reason to visit my grave had I chosen burial and I want to be forgotten as if I never existed. I want my ashes to be dispersed and nothing to tie me to this place. But cremation seems to costs more than burial were I live. I don't even know how to call and check without being awkward. Also I am not so good with local language and I am not in a shape of socializing.

Not sure where you're located but in the states, if you're asking a funeral parlor/service it should be no big deal. They are car dealers for dead people looking to make a sale. Many places will list costs online. Non-US countries I don't know anything about.
