Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

Sometimes they'd get tangled in my hair, and when I got up, my hair would pull and they'd fall out. Or sometimes they'd just slip out of my ear, and I'd drop them or sleep on top of them.

I've slept on headphones many times, but I still haven't broken them.

Hmm, you probably just have a very durable model, then.

The first good headset I ever had was my brother's PS3 headset.

I don't remember my first headset. I've gone through so many over the years. I always pick the cheapest option, though I've learned how to penny pinch for the best of the low-quality ones.

I just remembered listening on my aunt's Walkman when I was a child.
I feel old.

I'm currently rewatching old, favorite videos from my childhood... It's a sweet feeling, if not a tiny bit sad.
The past 6 months, I've been repeatedly placed on leave in order to recover from depression, even though I've been recovered for quite a while now. To be honest, I've never felt so tranquil and calm in my life; it's amazing what a stress-free existence does for your mind and body. Work truly kills you. Though, I'll be returning this Monday... Just gotta deal with it.

I wish I could handle people well, but I only have a cold intelligence. I remember working for a year and, not knowing what to spend the money on, using it to try new things — and I ended up saving enough to not work for three years, or very little. I think I could do those things again, since I become fixated when I want to learn how to do something and take it to the furthest consequences. I can see myself improving, but nihilism makes me reconsider continuing to try.

Its battery died, and I stored it in a drawer — I don't know what happened after that, but I really liked those headphones.

I am also very intellect-first as opposed to emotion, and I am usually numb. But, I am actually quite socially adept and good with people. Growing up, I took a lot of social science classes, with a focus in diplomacy and communications (I have two funny stories related to this). I essentially treated socialization like it's a game, or a code to be cracked, and found out all of the best strategies. I now do a lot of things when I talk to people as second nature.
For example: I have this habit to hyperbolize everything I say when it comes to my feelings. I notice it makes people react better. I will say "This drives me nuts!", or "I really hate how..." when, in reality, I am slightly or not at all bothered.

I also worked for a while, but since I had nothing to spend the money on, I just... Saved it. I thought it was unnecessary to waste it, when it could be useful later. When you don't have luxuries and vices to waste your money on, saving up and paying the rent actually becomes easy.
If you manage to get back to work, it would no doubt be beneficial for you. Having the discipline to focus on a task and finish it is incredibly useful.

I also relate to having a nihilistic worldview (though, if we're being technical, it's actually an absurdist worldview, as true nihilism is simply just total non-belief). Since I was very young, it has always been a self-evident truth to me that life is meaningless...
But, as human beings, we create meaning. Meaning does truly exist, within our minds. I like to ask myself: Even knowing that life is meaningless, what point would I be proud to make? What do I personally care about and enjoy? And then, I work towards that. Everything is just a means to an end for achieving those desired experiences, for me.

Sounds hella satisfying ngl
It's pretty uncomfortable, but yeah, I can see it. Do you like those hydraulic press videos they upload to YouTube? They're like drugs...

Oh, I can imagine.
Anyway, those stories I mentioned...

1) When I was a prepubescent, I had an edgelord phase. I was allured by the idea of being evil, dangerous, manipulative... I thought it was the coolest thing ever, because I got to "live outside of the system" and be superior. I really wanted to learn how to manipulate people (again, I was like 10 years old), so I went to YouTube to learn how to do it. I watched those stupid anime videos that are like, "HOW TO MANIPULATE AND BE EVIL LIKE [ANIME CHARACTER]!", and took their advice to heart. Except, the advice was just basic socialization tips, like "Don't overshare about yourself", "Make people feel safe around you", "Ask about their interests and research them so you can understand them better", etcetera. So, I unwittingly became a kind and likable person... And I thought I was being the best manipulator ever for it, even though all I truly did was make happy friendships.

2) During a communications class, the teacher had us do an exercise of testing physical boundaries. One person would go to the front of the class, everyone else would line up behind one another in front of that person, and everyone would walk closer and closer to the person in front until they told them to stop walking.
Most people would stop others at about an arm's length of distance... When it was my turn? I just opened my arms into a wide embrace and let people walk as close to me as they want. They stopped themselves, instead of me stopping them. I mocked people and asked "What? Are you all scared of a hug?", and a few people did actually walk up and hug me after that. It was a very fun exercise for me... and people made fun of each other for not wanting to get near me, even though they themselves also didn't want to.
