I wish i got to see Seinfeld when it first aired, would've been magical. Same with a lot of movies before my time. The dying uncle I told you about was a Seinfeld fanatic.

The funny thing is I never watched it when it first ran, but I can remember my father sitting there and laughing when it came on back in the day. I didn't watch it until the early 2000's in reruns of course.
Same thing with the Sopranos. I never saw an episode until about 2011.
Once I got around to seeing both series, I realized these were 2 of the best things television had ever produced.

It's cool that your dad really enjoyed it. Have you watched Breaking Bad? That's the only non sitcom series ive ever watched from start to finish. I reckon streaming services have ruined long running TV shows, back in the day you'd get one episode a week and it was must watch TV but nowadays you can watch like an entire season in one day if you really wanted to.

My nephews keep telling me to watch Breaking Bad, but I haven't gotten around to it yet. So many people seem to love that series. Tim Whatley from Seinfeld.

Yeah, I think it'd be right up your alley. They made a prequel series for it surrounding one of the prominent characters in the series but I can't speak to how good it is because I stay well away from sequels and prequels. They also made a netflix movie about what happens directly after Breaking Bad but I would personally stay away from that, I think the ending was good enough on it's own and didnt need any follow up.

And there's plenty of honourable mentions. I wont lie though, I haven't seen some of the really old sitcoms so I might have some recency bias.

I can't think of many sitcoms from within the last decade that ive enjoyed. The Big Bang Theory was alright but only for the first 3 seasons.

Chappelle's show was hilarious for sketch comedy and my nephews love It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia.
