Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

I was about to contradict you on this, but then I remembered that you're talking about American mayonnaise, and realized that you are absolutely, completely correct.

In the USA, the FDA legally forces producers to add a bunch of bullshit to their mayonnaise. They load it full with preservatives and chemicals in order to make sure that it's rendered "safe for consumption". They also add artificial sweeteners and sequestrants like calcium, disodium EDTA, sodium benzoate, potassium sorbate, etcetera. These absolutely RUIN the flavor.
Meanwhile, in most other parts of the world (including Europe), mayo is just made from oil and egg yolks, with a small list of extra additives. This means that it can quite easily spoil and become unsafe to eat, but at least it tastes better than the chemical vomit that they sell in the US!
