Yes, if it´s airtight. Under the influence of oxygen, nitrite turns into nitrate.
The recommended storage temperature is +5 to +30 degrees celsius (+41 F to 86 F).

Store in a cabinet, in an airtight container. And like @befree said, 5-30 degrees celcius.
