Help Codeine OD (orally)??

I've read that it's pretty unlikely to work due to vomiting.. I was wondering if i was somehow able to get antiemetics (any advice on that would be REALLY great) and potentially had a crazy amount, whether there would be any possibility of it working (especially with never having taken any opiates in the past)?
Really really desperate, dont want to screw it up again!!! :(

It's possible to die from codeine toxicity, but it's much more possible if you have concurrent health conditions like if you're obese and or have a weak heart or sleep apnea.

My dad died of a codeine overdose, but it was partly because the respiratory depression that the codeine caused, exacerbated the sleep apnea that he already had.

Codeine OD sounds like a good way to go, but I suspect that if it were that easy, it would be a very popular method and people would be doing it a lot. Good luck to you

Thanks for the reply. I know a lot of the prescription codeine drugs are pretty hard to get and regulated a bunch (i had a client before who could only get a staged supply of like 5 panadeine fortes at a time). Someone i know thinks the amount i have access to is enough to take down a horse.. i just dont know how i would even swallow them all (and i've been feeling nauseous all day thinking about it). Wondering if its possible to crush them down and make a drink out of it or something (and also somehow get me hands on strong anti-nausea meds). Anyway. Thanks again for the insight

Crushing them into a drink is a pretty typical way of doing this but can't say it'll taste good. Also codeine is relatively weak isn't it? A healthy adult would need more of it to od. There are also gel caps or edible film pouches you can put the powder in. One last thing, I'm sure you've read this several times already, generally od's aren't too reliable. You may need to add other cns depressant drugs to potentiate the affect.

Codeine itself is inert, it is liver enzyme CYP2D6 that converts it to morphine. There is also a ceiling. For normal metabolizers over around 400mg has no additional effect, and it takes some time to "reset." But people who happen to have two normally functioning CYP2D6 genes ("ultrarapid metabolizers") could easily die from that amount. People with no opiate tolerance could also overdose. Many kids offed themselves unintentionally, back when it used to be OTC.

Agreed, maybe if you had access to other drugs you could make something similar to an amitryptiline cocktail which from what I've read is basically valium, phenobarbital, morphine, and amitryptiline. But from the sounds of it, all you've got access to is just the codeine.

Unfortunately it would probably be for the best if you could just put this out of your mind as a possibility, and channel your energies into another method if it's what you want for yourself.

I read on another post where you mention that you have survived OD attempts which made you comatose. I expect an attempt with this codeine could end up with you vomiting it all up, or being in a coma again, which I'm would be bound to cause more trouble for you. I hope you find a way to obtain either success in deliverance, or recovery, whichever of these you want for yourself. Best wishes,

Codeine are notorious for causing constipation in very small doses. I remember just taking two a day when I had my appendix out, and it was HELL going the toilet for a good week!!

So if you did survive a heavy codeine OD then I'd hate to think what state your guts would be in for weeks afterwards.

i have 2000mg tapentadol, 4800mg codeine in the form of panadeine forte, plus some valium and quetiapine. Do you know if that sounds like enough? I keep getting conflicting research/evidence. I wish i had access to stronger stuff but i dont have any connections (and ive never taken any drugs/opiates before so maybe would increase potency..if can manage to swallow all?)thinking of possibly crushing it up and drinking, and definitely trying to get my hands on some strong anti-nausea meds. i take like 20 laxatives a day (for past 10yrs) because of an eating disorder, so it takes a lot for anything to effect my gut (at least compared to normal people lol)
