I'm a little confused about this method.

1- Is there a possibility of explosion when the car is filled with carbon monoxide?

2- Do I have to be worry about the car seats melting?

3- If the car is completely filled with carbon monoxide, will I lose consciousness in less than a minute when I enter the car?

4- In general, what should I be sensitive and pay attention to it in this method?

finally I think this method has a lot of things that you should be worry about it ( maybe every of them get wrong ) that co method is not worth doing.

Anyone using charcoal definitely needs to be concerned about car seats melting, but a generator shouldn't create that much heat. If I were concerned I'd place it on a heatproof surface.

Disclaimer , i neither advise or encourage anyone to take their own life and they should seek professional help .But..
If i was going for generator and car i'd go somewhere secluded leave the generator outside the car and pipe the exhaust in , similar to ho they did it in the old days with just the cars exhaust before catalytic converter .

I can't see having one in a car, or carrying one that is hot into a car without burning yourself. Sounds dangerous.

If you look up previous threads about the method you'll find a lot of information. People have indeed had various kinds of trouble using charcoal. If I were doubtful about it I'd certainly look for a way that I have more confidence in.

Ok but just saying trying to carry a hot pan of charcoal isn't anything I could do without somehow burning myself. I had been considering that. I couldn't manage doing that, I know my limitations.

I thought it didn't have to be hot, it still gives off CO when it's cooled down?

It gives off most CO when it has stopped burning.when the coals are white i think is best

I would worry about things melting in a car, especially if its like nylon and things like that. the heat will certainly cause them to shrivel up.

Are you US? if so the generators seem to be different than UK for instance(see picture UK)

it has the metal 'rooll cage' so will keep some of the heat away from materials like the floor

the actual machine itself will get hot, the exhaust the,the exhaust fumes for sure

I haven't looked into using a generator in a car but I read about a women who laid under the exhaust pipe of the car and died. The car gives off the most CO within the first minute in cold weather. 70,000ppm which cause death in a few breaths.

Are there any threads on the generator method as opposed to the charcoal method?

Do you know which model that particular generator is? It just says Ford.

I'm from the US and when I googled 'generators' these are some examples of the ones that popped up: https://www.homedepot.com/b/Outdoor...able-Generators/3000-4000/N-5yc1vZbx9nZ2bctk6

I don't know which is best though, or if it would even be small enough to fit in one of our cars…

Also - do they release enough exhaust that you'd get a headache from the smell?

I would be careful! I read somewhere that certain generators don't emit enough CO? Like they have some mechanism in it. I'm not completely sure. Someone would like to clarify?
