  • Hey Guest,

Today, OFCOM launched an official investigation into Sanctioned Suicide under the UK’s Online Safety Act. This has already made headlines across the UK.

Two guys have ctb with this method in my country, they also have found some sleeping pills and xanax in their cars.
How viable is this method?
Will it work with a diesel engine from 2014?
Are the pills mandatory to endure the smell of the exhaust?

you have to research the car properly.
I believe since early 1990s all petrol and since late 1990s all diesel cars in most part of Europe had catalytic converter in them.
The car you use should not have a catalytic converter.

You sure that recent car doesnt work? seems strange to me that those guys used an almost 30 years old car, they are pratically banned here, cant be used inside the cities anymore

I considered the car exhaust method but it seems that the cars made in the last decade or more have "greener" emissions.

My 2002 vehicle without a catalytic converter only put out about 500ppm of CO even after several hours.

I was thinking about this method but as others have mentioned that the cat converter will absorb the CO. The only way I think could work is to straight pipe your car (removing the cat). It will be loud but you can install a valved exhaust that can minimize the sound. Possible way is that you can put higher octane fuel to have incomplete combustion but you have a diesel. Even then newer cars are able to adjust to higher octane. Best is try using charcoal.

a 30 year old car is likely to be ideal for this not newer cars
