• Hey Guest,

We wanted to share a quick update with the community.

Our public expense ledger is now live, allowing anyone to see how donations are used to support the ongoing operation of the site.

    👉 View the ledger here

Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

    Donate via cryptocurrency:

I know some people on here use AI to discuss sensitive topics, so I wanted to make sure you all to know this. If you have ever gotten a link to share your conversations, your "private" chats are not private.

Also make sure to turn off the option to improve the model for others. I'm not sure if it's entirely true, but I heard from someone that if you have this on. You basically grant them the right to look at your chats and read them through. It might turn itself back on so always check it just in case idk.

Assume all AI chats are not private unless you are running them locally on your own machine.

https://duck.ai is at least a little more private because it has agreements with AI providers to not sell data. Not sure if it's perfect, but it's at least something.

This is scary stuff. I use AI a lot - in my personal life and at work. Before you use AI at work, contact your IT and/or security department regarding policies about putting sensitive company information into AI. They may tell you can only use one kind of AI at work. Be sure to do what they tell you. If sensitive company information is leaked over AI, you could get in trouble.

It has been proven that many companies that claim to not store/sell data actually do. It is better to assume nothing is private unless it is local as dragonofenvy said.

Agree with above. This is bad but expecting privacy from a corporate tech commodity is completely naive since the algorithms are designed to harvest your data to make more rather than being a safe haven for any of us to have private thoughts

I have made a joke towards my friends about this. A joke that I won't repeat on here... But I wish some parts of my conversations with chatbots would become public per accident. This would have some benefits....
